Terminator Genisys Trailer 2

Whoa, what is happening here!? Terminator: Genisys looks like an entirely different movie than before. The direction it is taking is completely unexpected, and while I am not sure what to think about it, the trailer editors seem to be making the same mistake as they did with Terminator: Salvation by spoiling a major plot point in the trailer! Why!? Is this just a trick, or are they revealing a major twist because everyone seemed to be disappointed by the first trailer. I do not want to spoil it if you have not seen the trailer, but it is really shocking. If you are certain that you want to watch the movie in theaters, do not watch the trailer (unless you watch trailers regardless of spoilers). If you are on the fence about seeing it, then watch this trailer, because it will either get you interested or make you think the writers are crazy. What do you think? Please comment below and let me known.

  1. I was honestly surprised that they revealed such a huge spoiler, as well. What movie does that (besides the Amazing Spider-Man 2)? I honestly don't know if it's going to be good or not, but then I barely remember any of the other movies as I only watched them when I was really little. Who knows? It may surprise us.

  2. I think what happened is that the studio realized that this film was not garnering much love (it took almost 24 hours for fans to "unlock" this trailer, for example when it took an Avengers trailer about 60 minutes) so they knew they had to bring the big guns.

I for one am at least interested and this trailer was far better than the first. It's a shame they had to "spoil" something (or maybe it's misdirection) but at the end of the day they have to put butts in seats.

I'm also really hoping that this one is R. I imagine it won't be so that they can make more money, but I feel like Terminator films are best when they're R.

    1. I do not see why a Terminator movie, or any movie is improved by an R rating (Except The Passion)
Terminator Salvation was a perfectly good PG-13 movie. Why is blood, gore and breaking bones
necessary to have a good time?

    2. First off, Salvation was not that good of a movie.

Secondly, the violence that R-rated movies allow fit in line more with what has been established in THIS franchise's lore (T1 and T2).

Where on earth did I mention anything about blood or gore being necessary to have a good time? My point was that some films just work better with a particular rating. A reverse example would be you would never see an R-rated Avengers. It wouldn't fit and it would be too dark for what that franchise is trying to accomplish.

    3. Oh. Well thanks for clarifying that. Sorry for misconstruing your message.

  3. I went ahead and watched the trailer because I wasn't really caring either way. I can't say I'm any more interested than before though. XD While I think Arnold is great in this role and I like the actress playing Sarah Conner, I have enough time lines to keep track of between the first two movies...do I really need another movie on top of them? :D I will no doubt watch this borrowed from Netflix or the library at some point, just not at the theater.

  4. (Spoilers)
My reaction: "That's weird." It makes sense though, because he had way too many scars on his face to not be the bad guy. I think there's a law about that. Hehehe, anyway... I think I'll go with the "the writers are crazy" option, since the first trailer had me more interested than this one. Or maybe like you said it could be a trick twist. But I kinda doubt it. :P
