The Pink Panther (2006) review.

Directed by: Shawn Levy
Genre: Comedy, Mystery
Release date: February 10, 2006
Running Time: 93 minutes
MMPA rating: PG

The Good: One of the funniest movies ever, Steve Martin nailed the accent perfectly, I couldn't go 3 minutes without laughing,

Plot: The film opens as Paris Police Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus (Kevin Kline) tells the story of the Pink Panther diamond theft case. As Dreyfus narrates, a flashback appears of a soccer game between France and China. French coach Yves Gluant (Jason Statham) comes down the stadium, wearing the Pink Panther diamond ring, and kisses his girlfriend, Xania (Beyoncé Knowles), after whispering to her. After the game, Yves dies with a poison dart in his neck and the Pink Panther missing from his hand (thus leading to the animated opening titles, created by Kurtz & Friends). Eager to win the "Medal of Honor" (the Légion d'honneur), Dreyfus appoints clumsy third-class Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin) to officially handle the case while Dreyfus assembles a team to investigate in secret. Dreyfus intends to take over the case once he has solved it. He appoints Gendarme Ponton (Jean Reno) to work as Clouseau's assistant and secretly keep Dreyfus informed of Clouseau's activities.
Clouseau makes little progress at first, bungling one situation after another. Bizu (William Abadie), a star player who hated Gluant and was the prime suspect, is shot in the head and killed. A witness named Cherie (Kristin Chenoweth) heard Bizou say "Oh, it's you," before being shot; therefore Clouseau tells Ponton to gather all the people in Paris with the name "You". He interviews an old Cantonese woman (credited as "Yu"), but although he claims he understands Chinese, he does not reveal what she said. While at a casino, with the intent of asking some questions of owner Raymond Larocque (Roger Rees), Gluant's business partner, he encounters British Secret Agent 006 Nigel Boswell (Clive Owen, parodying James Bond). Wearing a gas mask to conceal his identity, Boswell poses as Clouseau while stopping a robbery by the notorious "Gas-Masked Bandits". Clouseau receives credit for the deed and is nominated for the Légion d'honneur, much to Dreyfus's annoyance. Watch the movie to see what happens next.

Plot: 9.2/10- Remember we are comparing the movie's plot to other comedys. Surprisingly very good mystery plot.

Action: N/A

Acting: 10/10- Steve Martin nailed the accent perfectly for Inspector Clouseau,

Special effects:N/A

Soundtrack: 9.3/10- The same classic theme from the original Pink Panther movies.

Comedy: 10/10- Lots of slap stick comedy through out the movie, We couldn't go 3 minutes without laughing.

Overall: 9.7/10- About as good as a comedy gets.

Closing comments: Two words: Comedy Perfection.

Recommended for: Anyone who likes to laugh

Movie That Need Sequels and What They Should Do Next.

We decided to write an article about movies please tell if you think we should write articles and movie review orjust movie reviews. This going to be about movie franchises that need sequels and where we want to them go with the franchise next.

Star Wars
We want a live action TV show set in the Old Republic or a movie set in the Old Republic. We also want the story based on the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic video game.

James Bond
The Daniel Craig have Bond movie has had critical success but they didn't have the feel of a Bond movie they were more like a Bourne movie than a Bond movie.
We are James Bond purest we want gadgets and good villains. The next movie needs to be set in the 60s around the same time as the original Sean Connery Bond movies and they need to bring back the gadgets and have reimaginings of classic villains.

Indiana Jones
We really hated Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! Aliens? Really?! Indy need to get the James Bond treatment which means get a new actor to play Indy but the character stays the same or make a new Adventures of Young Indiana Jones TV show.

Bourne movies
We just finshed watching the Bourne Trilogy yesterday look for the review coming soon.
We know that there is going to be sequel of the Bourne movies but Matt Damon won't be in the next one. What we want is a sequel with Matt Damon in it.

Thr Matirx
We have recently become huge Matirx fans. We have read rumors that there might be a sequel at some time so we are really hoping for it coming soon.

Inception
We don't know how Christopher Nolan would make a sequel to Inception but need really one and we need it now.

What do you think please comment and tell us.

Our next article will be about Movie Sequels That are Confirmed to be coming back.
