May the 4th be with You

May the 4th be with You! Happy national Star Wars day everyone! This past week has been an exciting one for Star Wars fans with the announcement of the new cast, and the casting choices are actually really good. Hopefully, Disney will make another big announcement or release something later today to commemorate the occasion. We do know that a full trailer for Star Wars: Rebels will be coming at 7:00pm today, but my expectations for that are basically nonexistent. Of course I will watch the series, but my outlook on it is grim. Also, in general, ever since The Clone Wars was cancelled, the Star Wars fandom has waned. There are still fans out there, but without the Clone Wars keeping us active, all we have is the occasional news release about the movie to live off of until Episode 7 is released. The Clone Wars was a great boon to the Star Wars fanbase, and with Disney cancelling it and putting it on Netflix exclusively, there is nothing for the fanbase to talk about, so many fans have actually left the internet, which is unfortunately evident by the lack of interest to the new Star Wars casting. Basically what I am getting at is that Disney cancelling the Clone Wars has reduced interest in their franchise. The Clone Wars had to end at some point, but if Disney was smart, they would have continued to air it somewhere to keep the fanbase engaged with the franchise. Anyway, now that I had that rant of sorts, May the 4th be with You! Also, please check back tomorrow for either my review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, or short reaction review.
