Who are The Avengers' Aliens?

Who are these aliens?! It was been speculated that the aliens are Skrull but never confirmed. Since Skrull's are shape shifters they could look like anything but that would make sense in battle. These could also be the Kree the Skrulls' enemy or it could even be something from Asgard. There are many theories but nothing is for sure. Here is the new TV spot trailer with some bad guy footage.

Real Steel Review.

There has been a delay with the Harry Potter reviews because I have to re-write them some, so I am posting a recent movie review, Real Steel.

Thoughts: I really did not know what to think of the movie when I saw the trailer. It looked a little ridiculous but the movie was actually was a very good movie. I know there will some people who will like it and the movie others who will dislike it but it was a very fun and inspiring movie. Also it while it looked like a family movie from the trailers, I would say it is not a little kid’s movie because it is a very enjoyable movie for any age (warning it is rated PG-13). The kid in the movie, played by Dakota Goyo, looks a lot like a young Anakin Skywalker and has some of the same skills with robots/droids that Anakin did.

Directed by: Shawn Levy
Genre: Sci-Fi, Boxing, Action,
Release Date: October 7, 2011 (2011-10-07)
Running Time: 127 minutes
MMPA rating: PG-13

The Good: Spectacular special effects, Inspiring story, Awesome robot boxing scene,

The Bad: A little too predicable,

Plot: The following plot summery is copied from
In 2020, human boxers have been replaced by robot boxers. Charlie Kenton is a former boxer who owns such a robot, Ambush, competing in unsanctioned matches and in exhibitions with it. At a rural fair, Ambush is destroyed by Black Thunder, a bull belonging to promoter Ricky. Having made a bet that Ambush would win, Charlie now owes Ricky $20,000, which he doesn't pay before leaving.
Charlie is informed his ex-girlfriend has died, and that he must attend a hearing to decide the fate of his preteen son Max (Dakota Goyo). Max's wealthy aunt Debra and uncle Marvin want full custody, which Charlie gives them in exchange for $100,000, half in advance, on the condition that Charlie take care of Max for three months while the couple are away on a second honeymoon.
Charlie and Max meet with Charlie's childhood friend Bailey Tallet, who runs the boxing gym of her deceased father, Charlie's old coach. There, Charlie buys a secondhand World Robot Boxing league (WRB) robot, the once-famous Noisy Boy, and arranges for it to fight the illegal circuit's champion, Midas, at a venue belonging to his friend Finn. Partly due to both his inexperience with Noisy Boy's combinations and his own overconfidence, Charlie ends up losing control of Noisy Boy and Midas destroys it.
Charlie breaks into a junkyard with Max to steal scraps that he can use to put a new robot together. There, Max falls over a ledge, where he is saved from doom by getting snagged on the arm of a buried robot. After Charlie pulls Max back up, Max digs out the entire robot, called Atom. On Max's insistence, Charlie takes it back to Bailey's gym, where they discover Atom is an obsolete Generation-2 sparring bot built in 2014. Atom has been designed to sustain massive damage, but is unable to deal much damage itself.

Plot: 8.0/10- The plot is a mix of Rocky, a father/son movie, and Rock'em Sock'em Robots. It works a lot better than it sounds, although it was a little predicable.

Action: 9.0/10- Real Steel is not the most action packed as far as constant action scenes but the robot boxing scene were probably the best CGI character fight scenes I have seen. The action felt like it was made with something real and not CGI with the motions and interaction looking so realistic.

Special effects: 9.4/10- The combination of practical effects and CGI effects was seamless and the motions for the robots looked very good.

Soundtrack: 7.8/10- The soundtrack was good and fit the theme of the movie well.

Comedy: 7.0/10- Real Steel had some humor in it.

Overall: 8.0/10- Overall Real Steel is a very good movie with a predicable yet entertaining story.

Closing comments: Real Steel is a fun and inspiring movie despite it's predicable plot.

Contagion Review.

This was voted to be the next review to be posted.
Thoughts: The trailer made the movie look like a suspense movie but it isn't, it is an extremely boring movie was almost nothing happens. You are waiting the whole movie for something to happen but it doesn't. There isn't a moment of suspense in the movie. Contagion had an all star cast of actors but their performances were stiff. It also ends abruptly and leaves a lot of loose ends, which really isn't a bad since the movie is so terrible. The best part of the movie was the credits because it was finally over.

Directed by:Steven Soderbergh
Genre: Drama, Fake Documentary
Release Date: September 9, 2011
Running Time: 106 minutes
MMPA rating:PG-13

The Good:

The Bad: Extremely slow and boring, Awful pacing, Stiff performances by an All-Star cast of actors,

Plot: The following plot summery is copied from
The film follows several interacting plotlines, with no single protagonist, over the course of several weeks from the initial outbreak and attempts to contain it, to panic and decay of social order, and, finally, to the introduction of a vaccine.
After a business trip to Hong Kong, businesswoman Beth Emhoff (Paltrow) stops in Chicago for a dalliance with an old boyfriend before returning to her husband and family in suburban Minneapolis. At first she appears to have contracted a cold during her trip. Her son, Clark, also becomes symptomatic and is sent home from school. Beth's condition worsens and two days later she collapses with severe seizures in her home. Beth's husband, Mitch (Damon), rushes her to the hospital, but she continues to seize and dies of an unknown virus. Because it affects the brain and central nervous system, pathologists attribute it to a meningoencephalitis virus. Mitch returns home and finds that Clark has also died from a similar infection. Mitch is put in isolation but turns out to be genetically immune to the disease. He and his daughter attempt to flee the city, but a military quarantine has been imposed, and they are forced to return to their home to face decaying social order and rampant looting of stores and homes. Not knowing whether his daughter inherited his immunity, Mitch struggles to balance his teenage daughter's frustration with quarantine with his desire to protect her, while trying to come to terms with his own loss.
In Atlanta, representatives from the Department of Homeland Security meet with Dr. Ellis Cheever (Fishburne) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and express fears that the disease is a bioweapon intended to cause terror over the Thanksgiving weekend. Cheever sends Dr. Erin Mears (Winslet), an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer, to Minneapolis to begin the investigation. In addition to tracing the outbreak back to Beth, Dr. Mears has to negotiate with local bureaucrats reluctant to commit resources. She later becomes infected with the disease after being in contact with contaminated fomites while staying at her hotel. The Minnesota National Guard arrives to quarantine the city, and a badly deteriorating Dr. Mears is moved to the field medical station she helped set up. Watch the movie to what happens but I highly recommend against it.

Plot: 3.3/10- The whole perish for the movie could have worked but the bad acting, painfully slow plot progression, poor character development and made an uneventful plot, were you don't care about the characters.

Action: N/A-

Acting: 4.6/10- Despite the great cast of famous actors the acting was actually bad.

Special effects: N/A

Soundtrack: 5.0/10- Nothing memorable.

Comedy: N/A- I can't even remember laughing once during the movie or even smiling.

Overall: 3.3/10- Overall Contagion is probably the slowest movie of the year and the plot cannot even save it from being a bad movie.

Closing comments: I know the movie has gotten some positive reviews but I do not know why.

Forrest Gump Review.

The votes are in and Forrest Gump was voted to be the next movie.

Thoughts: I did not expect to like Forrest Gump very much since in general I do not find dramas very entertaining to watch but I was surprised by how much I like Forrest Gump. It had humor and the Forrest Gump's story was very good. The character Forrest Gump is very likable you really want him to succeed as the story progresses.

Note: You may have seen this on my friend Rebecca at Just me... blog but this review has been updated with more detail than my previous review.

Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Genre: Drama, Comedy
Release Date: July 6, 1994 (1994-07-06)
Running Time: 141 minutes
MMPA rating: PG-13

The Good: Tom Hanks performance was excellent, A few memorable and hilarious moments, Memorable quotes, The way that the movie uses real historical film and places Forrest Gump in them was amazing, Great use of licensed from the 50s, 60s, and 70s,

The Bad: Some parts of the movie were slow and boring,

Warning: Although Forrest Gump is rated PG-13 there is a good deal of content that is board line PG-13, in my opinion.

Plot: The following plot summery is copied from
In 1981, Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) sits at a bus stop in Savannah, Georgia, telling his life story to strangers nearby. His tale starts about the childhood braces he wore around both of his legs. At Forrest's home, he meets Elvis Presley, who he teaches a dance move to, which Presley later displays at a concert shown on a television. On his first day of school, Forrest meets a girl named Jenny Curran (Robin Wright), with whom he immediately falls in love and whose life is followed parallel to his. Despite his below average intelligence quotient (IQ), his ability to run very fast gets him on the University of Alabama football team. He ultimately becomes an All-American and meets President John F. Kennedy. While attending college he witnesses George Wallace's attempt to prevent integration at the school.
After graduation, Forrest enlists in the Army. He makes friends with Benjamin Buford Blue, nicknamed Bubba (Mykelti Williamson), who convinces him to be his partner in the shrimping business when the Vietnam War is over. In 1967, he and Bubba are sent to Vietnam, and after several months of patrolling with the 9th Infantry Division, their platoon is ambushed. Forrest is shot in the buttocks but rescues many of the men in his unit, although Bubba is fatally wounded and dies. Lt. Dan Taylor (Gary Sinise), the platoon's commanding officer, is also seriously wounded and loses both legs. He chastises Forrest for saving him, insisting that he would rather have died honorably on the battlefield than become a cripple. Watch the movie to see what happens next.

Plot: 8.7/10- The plot is very original and is nothing like anything I have seen before.

Action: N/A

Acting: 8.7/10- Tom Hanks performance was top notch and the other cast members were also very good.

Special effects: 8.5/10- way that the movie uses real historical film and puts Forrest Gump is them was amazing you have to see it to understand what I am talking about.

Soundtrack: 8.8/10- The soundtrack its self was very good but the licensed music used in it was fantastic.

Comedy: 8.9/10- I am rating the comedy compared to other movies that are not all comedy. There were some memorable and hilarious moments and quotes.

Overall: 8.7/10- Overall Forrest Gump is a very unique movie that actually deserved the Oscar for Best Picture.

Closing comments: Forrest Gump is a movie that anyone who is old enough to watch the movie should watch it.

Interview With Solace Utara at Prophets of the Force

Today's interview is with Solace Utara at Prophets of the Force . She has a really cool blog about Star Wars I recommend you check it out if you like Star Wars.

What do you believe Ahsoka’s fate should be at the end of The Clone Wars series?

I belive that Ahsoka would survive at the end of The Clone Wars series and order 66. I have read websites that explains the Fate of Ahsoka Tano (Most notably There is evidence against every option except the one that says Ahsoka survives order 66. As it explains, Ahsoka could go on a solo undercover mission in 19 BBY, when ROTS occured. Like Jedi Master Ry-Gaul, she would most likely survive. Also, seeing her killed would make Star Wars darker. It would be tragic for Ahsoka fans... and me. Her fate, though, is decided by the Clone Wars team... and the will of the Force. It will be the way it is meant to be.

Do you consider Darth Maul’s return cannon?
If George Lucas and the Clone Wars teams says so, then yes. I am curious for more of an explanation on how he survived, but then if the official word says it is, then it is. I think he fueled himsielf with the dark side to keep him alive the way Vader did on the lava bank, and maybe someone helped him out without knowing who he is or anything.

What is your opinion of Lux Bonteri and Ahsoka’s relationship?
Lux is an okay kind of guy, but I'm not sure if he's right for Ahsoka. He did foolish stuff out of revenge and everything, but he's not a Jedi. I believe alot of people would have done the same. I hope Ahsoka won't do anything foolish for him though. Their romantic relationship is better than Rex and Ahsoka (He's a clone and I don't think he's supposed to be with her), Anakin and Ahsoka (He already have a wife, come on!), and Barriss and Ahsoka (they're both girls, for crying out loud!). So I'll just wait and see how everything turns out.

What is your opinion of the cast on The Clone Wars compared to the original cast in the Star Wars Prequels?
I remembered the first time I watched the prequels. Unlike most other people, I was impressed with it. Perhaphs it was because I was so young and didn't really understand much, or I really did enjoy it. Either way, I still love the Star Wars Prequels now. I also remembered the first time I watched Star Wars the Clone Wars. I liked it too, but I was even younger when I first watched it. I still enjoy it now. I like them both equally, but I don't think I can compare them like that since the Clone Wars is not really a movie, except you count the cartoon one. In conclusion, I think both are awesome, and I'm glad there is something that explores the Clone Wars- which in my opinion was one of the most important parts in Star Wars history.

Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) Review.

If you have not read my 100th review of Inception, please Please Click here to check it out.

I usually watch these inbetween The Clone Wars seasons to get my Clone Wars fix so I figured I should review today since The Clone Wars season was over.

Please let us know if you have seen this.

We watched the original Star Wars: Clone Wars. The different between the name of current CGI series and is the "The" in front of "Clone Wars". It originally aired in the year 2003-2005 as a miniseries. We watched it when it originally aired but we watched it again recently. Basically Clone Wars cover the years in between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith in around 2 hours. This series is amazing! Even better than most of the current The Clone Wars story arcs. If this was a movie it would easily be the best animated movie ever made. Even you don't like the current CGI you should watch this. It is a must see for any Star Wars fan or anyone who likes animation. We are reviewing this as if it were a movie even though it was split up into two parts. Volume one is more action focused and less story driven. It showed clips of battles that took place during The Clone Wars. Volume 2 on the other hand is very story driven and has great action. It show Anakin's path towards the dark side and basically everything that was said in the opening crawl in Revenge of the Sith. The series as introduced new characters like General Grievous, Asajj Ventress, and Durge. Also Jedi like Shaak Ti, who had one of the best parts of the series, Ki Adi Mundi, Luminara Unduli, and Bariss Offee. And the Arc Troopers are also in this. It has so much awesomeness yet it doesn't feel over stuffed.

The Good: Many great new characters were introduced, Volume 2 had an amazing plot, Spectacular lightsaber duels,

The Bad:

If you want to watch the series Click Here. The link takes you to play list of the parts of series in order. Or buy it on DVD and edits it like a movie so there are not the opening titles every few minutes.

Here is the first chapter.

Plot: 9.8/10- Score for Volume 1: 9.0/10. Score for Volume 2: 10/10. Volume one was more action based and but had some set pieces that set up for Revenge of the Sith. Volume two's plot on the other was fantastic showing a glimpse of Anakin's future and built some of his character. Remember when this first aired it was before Revenge of the Sith so we didn't know exactly what was going to happen to make Anakin turn to the dark side.

Action: 10/10- Many amazing battles including Mace Windu fighting hundreds of Confederate droids with his fists, Kit Fisto brief under water battle on Mon Calamari, which was later expanded with the recent The Clone Wars episodes. And Shaak Ti and a few other Jedi in an epic duel with General Grievous and his guards just to name a few.

Acting: 9.7/10- The voice acting was excellent with a few familiar names like James Arnold Taylor(Obi-Wan), Tom Kane(Yoda), and Anthony Daniels(C3PO), who later went on to reprise their roles in the current Clone Wars series.

Art Style: 9.5/10- The style is a blend of Japanese anime modern western style. In general we don't like anime but this had a good blend of the two art styles.

Overall: 9.9/10- Overall Star Wars: Clone Wars is an amazing piece animation that is better than many of the current Clone Wars episodes.

Closing Comments: If you are a Star Wars fan watch this! And if you are planning on having a Star Wars watch-athon I recommend watching this after Attack of the Clones. It fills the gap inbetween the movies well.

We are not trying to cut down the current Clone Wars series. It is our favorite TV series but this is also a series that is a must see for any Star Wars fan.

100th Review! Inception Re-Review.

This is my 100th review!

Since the first review I wrote was Inception, I thought it would be fitting that I re-watch and re-review Inception and compare it to my original review.
Click here to read my eariler Inception review.

I watched Inception right after it was released on DVD and Blu-Ray. Recently, I watched it again so I could write this review. Not wanting to offend anyone but I completely understood the movie the first time I watched. I especially like movies that require me to think. After watching Inception, I read that some people did not like Inception because they did not understand it. If you do not pay attention while watching the movie you will miss numerous key points of the movie. Also I will have a few spoilers in this review but they will be highlighted in Red so you will know what to look out for.

Thoughts: This is one of my all time favorite movies. It has a perfect mix of action, thrills, acting, special effects, and original concept. Inception should have won the Oscar for Best Picture. It was easily the best movie since Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This is by far Christopher Nolan's best movie, much better than The Dark Knight. The concept of going into someone's dreams is an incredibly original idea. The acting and characters in the movie are impeccable. The performance from Leonardo DiCaprio was Oscar worthy and the other supporting cast was also great, including: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page and Tom Hardy. While I liked all of the characters, my favorites were Eames (Tom Hardy), Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), and Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio). Additionally the action scenes in Inception are some of the best I have seen. The "Rotating Hallway" scene is one of the best fight scenes ever. After the team enters the dream the movie is a non-stop thrill ride with perfect character development, suspense, and plot twists along the way. This is not a story of your prototypical hero battling evil, it is much more complex. Dom Cobb is a criminal of sorts, who steals information from a target like a thief steals money from a bank. However, he is doing this for a good reason, to reunite with his family and children. For this reason the character is very likeable, although what he is doing is board line illegal.

Directed by: Christopher Nolan
Genre: Sic-Fi, Action, Thriller
Release Date: July 16, 2010 (2010-07-16)
Running Time: 148 minutes
MMPA rating: PG-13

The Good: Most original concept for a movie since Star War (not including comic book and book adaptations), Amazing action scenes, Spectacular special effects, Excellent acting, Tests your intelligent, One of the best opening scenes ever, One of the best ending scenes ever, Very unexpected plot twists, Excellent pacing

The Bad:

Plot: The following plot summery is copied from

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his business partner Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) perform illegal corporate espionage by entering the subconscious minds of their targets, using two-level "dream within a dream" strategies to extract valuable information. Dreamers are awakened either by a sudden shock (a "kick"), or by dying in the dream. Each of the extractors carries a totem, a personalized small object whose behavior is unpredictable to anyone except its owner, to determine whether they are in another person's dream. Cobb's totem is a spinning top which perpetually spins in the dream state. Cobb struggles with memories of his dead wife, Mal (Marion Cotillard), who manifests within his dreams and tries to sabotage his efforts.

Cobb is approached by the wealthy Mr. Saito (Ken Watanabe), Cobb's latest extraction target, asking him and his team to perform the act of "Inception"; planting an idea within the person's subconscious mind without them knowing. Saito wishes to break up the vast energy conglomerate of his competitor, the ailing Maurice Fischer (Pete Postlethwaite), by planting this idea in his son, Robert Fischer (Cillian Murphy), who will inherit the empire when his father dies. Should Cobb succeed, Saito promises to use his influence to clear Cobb of the murder charges for his wife's death, allowing Cobb to re-enter the United States and reunite with his children. Despite Arthur's insistence that inception is impossible, Cobb accepts the job and assembles his team: Eames (Tom Hardy), an identity forger; Yusuf (Dileep Rao), a chemist who concocts the powerful sedative needed to stabilize the three-layered shared dream required for inception; and Ariadne (Ellen Page), a young architecture student tasked with designing the labyrinth of the dream landscapes. Saito insists on joining the team as an observer and to ensure the job is completed. While planning the inception, Ariadne learns of the guilt Cobb struggles with from Mal's suicide and his separation from his children when he fled the country as a fugitive.

The job is set in motion when Maurice Fischer dies and his son accompanies his father's body from Sydney to Los Angeles. During the flight, Cobb sedates Robert Fischer, and the team brings him into the shared dream. At each stage, the member of the team who is "creating" the dream stays behind to generate the "kick", while the other team members fall asleep within the dream to travel further down into Fischer's subconscious. Watch the movie to see what happens next.

Plot: 10/10- The concept is extraordinarily original and the pacing is perfect. You cannot get much better than this.

Action: 9.8/10- Since most of the movie is in the "Dream World" the laws physics do not always apply, therefore the action can be somewhat realistic yet spectacular at the same time. The movie is action packed after the team enters the dream with some of the best action scenes I have ever seen.

Acting: 10/10- Inception has one of the best casts ever assembled, with standout performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Special effects: 10/10- The special effect in Inception were amazing. It used a perfect combination of practical and CGI effects.

Soundtrack: 9.7/10- Hans Zimmer’s excellent score fits Inception perfectly and builds tension.

Comedy: N/A

Overall: 9.9/10- Overall Inception is a masterpiece of film.

Closing comments: Inception is a must see movie for anyone.

Recommended for: Anyone, Action fans, Thriller fans, Sci-Fi fans, Suspense fans, Leonardo Vicario fans, Movie fans,

*Warning Spoilers! Skip to the bottom of the page to comment if you have not seen the movie!*

If you have seen Inception, do you think that Cobb is in the dream world or the real world at the end of the movie? I think that he has made it out of the dream world and has returned to the real world. One reason I believe this is that Cobb was not wearing his wedding ring at the end of the movie. In all of the dream scenes he is wearing his ring. The second thing that I noticed was that his children were wearing different clothes and he was able to see their faces. Earlier in the movie he reveals that he could not see the faces of his children in the dream world because that was his last memory he had of them.

Top 22 Season 4 Clone Wars Episodes Part 2: 11-1.

At Number 11: Friends and Enemies
My Rating: 9.4/10
Savanna's Raing: 10/10
  IGN's Rating: 8.5/10
Friends and Enemies had a lot to like. Cad Bane was awesome and his line at the end was fantastic. The action was very good and the Nal Hutta setting with the Cantina and the Indiana Jones hat was a good nod to the classic hero.

At Number 10: A Friend in Need
My Rating: 9.5/10
Savanna's Rating: 8/10
IGN's Rating: 9/10
A ton of Ahsoka fans were outraged by "A Friend in Need" becasue of Lux Bonteri and Ahsoka's relationship. I do not like romance but I found that it worked really well. Also seeing Death Watch again was really awesome. I am a big Mandalorian and Death Watch fan so having them in the episode made it so much better. And the quadruple decapitation by Ahsoka didn't hurt earthier.

At Number 9: Escape from Kadavo
My Rating: 9.6/10
 Savanna's Rating: 10/10
 IGN's Rating: 9.5/10
The last episode in the Slavery Story Arc, Escape from Kadavo really ended it with a bang. This is one of the few episodes that just about everyone liked and agreed that it was a very good episode. The episode even had a briefcameo by the Wolf Pack Clone Trooper Squad.

At Number 8: The Box
My Rating: 9.8/10
Savanna's Rating: 7/10
IGN's Rating: 8/10
There has been a split between the fans half of them liked "The Box" and the other half thought it was just OK. I really liked because of the great concept of having Bounty Hunters compete to decide who the best are.

At Number 7: Massacre
My Rating: 10/10
 Savanna's Rating: 8/10
 IGN's Rating: 9/10
I normally do not like Zombies but it worked really well for this episode. Also I really like the Nightsisters and the all out battle between the CIS and the Nightsisters was epic.

At Number 6: Bounty
My Rating: 10/10
 Savanna's Rating: 10/10
 IGN's Rating: 8/10
"Bounty" was the unexpected gem of season 4. The ainmation for the hand-to-hand combat was excellent and Boba Fett was back again. Also the episode built Ventress' character very well.

At Number 5: The General
My Rating: 10/10
 Savanna's Rating: 9/10
IGN's Rating: 8.5/10
It is hard to choose which of the "Darkness on Umbara" Story Arc was better than the others since all of them were excellent.

At Number 4: Plan of Dissent
My Rating: 10/10
Savanna's Rating: 9/10
IGN's Rating: 9/10
Fives and the others trying to pilot the enemy’s craft was done really and was even kind of funny. It was also dark and the Clones are always becoming more and more interesting as the series continues.

At Number 3: Darkness on Umbara
My Rating: 10/10
Savanna's Rating: 9/10
IGN's Rating: 9/10
Darkness on Umbara was the first step towards one of the best Clone Wars Story Arcs yet. This is the first we got to see General Krell with his cold and calculating approach to warfare, were Clones are just numbers. The parallels with the Vietnam War combined with the overall darker and grittier tone made it near perfect and very hard to top. Also this story could have worked for just about any War movie, The Clone Wars team did an excellent job with this oen.

At Number 2: Revenge
My Rating: 10/10
Savanna's Rating: 9/10
IGN's Rating: 9.5/10
The Season 4 Finally, Revenge ended the season on a cliffhanger. With the return of Darth Maul and the lightsaber epic battle, how could this not be one of the best episodes in The Clone Wars history.

At Number 1: Carnage of Krell
My Rating: 10/10
Savanna's Rating: 10/10
IGN's Rating: 8/10
Wow! This episode really stepped it up a notch! When it was discovered that Krell was trader I was very surprised. And his execution, the only thing that could have made it any better is that Rex would have been the one to finish Krell off.

Overall Season 4 Score: 9.5/10
I was very impressed by this season, it is probably the best season of The Clone Wars so far with only a few weak and lack luster beginning.

Top 22 Season 4 Clone Wars Episodes Part 1: 22-11.

This past season of The Clone Wars has probably been my favorite season of The Clone Wars with only a few sub-bar episodes. Below I have listed my rating, which I have changed from my original rating. And I have listed the reviews of score Savanna at Pandas, Lightsabers and Cameras, oh my!! and's ratings for the episode. The reason I used Savanna's rating was that she has reviewed every episode and has a consistent 1 to 10 scale. And I am using's ratings because they are the world's largest TV reviewing website and uses a 1 to 10 scale.

At Number 22: Shadow Warrior
My Rating: 7.0/10
Savanna's Rating: 5/10
IGN's Rating: 7/10
While I do not hate Jar Jar, I do not see any reason why he should be in The Clone Wars. But what I really dislike about this episode is the voice of the other Gungans. They were so annoying! But the battle between General Grievous and the Gungans was kind of cool.

At Number 21 Gungan Attack
My Rating: 7.2/10
Savanna's Rating: 6/10
IGN's Rating: 7.5/10
I am counting the one hour season premier two different episodes but both were disappointing. This one was especially disappointing because the terribly voiced Gungans were in the episode.

At Number 20: Water War
My Rating: 7.8/10
Savanna's Rating: 8/10
IGN's Rating: 7.5/10
The Clone Wars did not start as well as I would have hoped. I did not care for the underwater action compared to the normal action but the short lived villain Riff was a really nice addition.

At Number 19: Kidnapped
My Rating: 8.0/10
Savanna's Rating: 7/10
IGN's Rating: 8/10
Kidnapped was a fun episode fun of action but it did lack some in plot. Although the animation for Obi-Wan in the episode was a huge upgrade from the previous episodes with his hair actually moving and not cemented in place.

At Number 18: Deception
My Rating: 8.0/10
Savanna's Rating: 9/10
IGN's Rating: 8/10
I was a little disappointing in this episode after the great start to it with Obi-Wan transforming into Rako Harden and going under cover but there were a few missed missed opportunities in the prison scenes. But Cad Bane was back in action.

At Number 16: Mercy Mission
My Rating: 8.2/10
Savanna's Rating: 8/10
IGN's Rating: 8/10
I really expected to hate this episode but I actually liked it a lot. It was a unexpected change of pace from what I have previously seen in The Clone Wars. It had some funny humor and Anthony Daniels' fantastic performance as C3PO.
At Number 15: Nomad Droids
My Rating: 8.3/10
Savanna's Rating: 2/10
IGN's Rating: 8.5/10
Nomad Droids parodied multiple fantasy movies like "Gulliver’s Travels", "The Wizard of Oz" and "Alice in Wonderland". I did like the book "Gulliver’s Travels", I hated the "Alice in Wonderland" movie and I have not seen "The Wizard of Oz" but I liked this episode. It introduced sometime else that has been in The Clone, dark comedy, with R2-D2 squashing the leader of the native tribe. The episode was fun and funny, and I am not the only one who like: IGN gave it a score 8.5/10, even though many others hated it.

At Number 14: Crisis on Naboo
My Rating: 8.4/10
Savanna's Rating: 7.5/10
IGN's Rating: 8.5/10
Many have criticized this for making Obi-Wan look stupid but I never really thought that it did that. It is just that Dooku is a brilliant strategist and plans for everything. The action was good and story arc wrapped up nicely.

At Number 13: Brothers
My Rating: 8.8/10
Savanna's Rating: 4/10
IGN's Rating: 8/10
This is another episode that many criticized but I have found it most intriguing. Darth Maul's return was a very controversial topic. I was tentative but I accept it and it later turned out to great in the "Revenge" episode. I originally gave the episode a 10/10 for some reason but I have changed to a 8.8/10.

At Number 12: Slaves of the Republic
My Rating: 9.3/10
Savanna's Rating: 10/10
IGN's Rating: 8.5/10
This episode was kind of a mid-season finale for The Clone Wars and left us with a cliffhanger ending. The part I really liked about this episode was Anakin's rage about slavery and the Slaver Queen.

Check back tomorrow for part 2 of the list.

Interview with Shena Tokala at Pens, Thespians, and Words.

Today's interview is with Shelna Toka at Pens, Thespians, and Words. She has a really cool blog mostly about Star Wars and some other things.

What do you think Ahsoka’s fate should be at the end of The Clone Wars
Well, I have a feeling she is going to die. It seems to be the most
logical answer to her fate since she won't be knighted anytime soon and
the war is also near to being over and she's too loyal to the Jedi Order
to leave and I'd much rather her die during the Clone Wars than during
Order 66 and have to see the Clones or Anakin killing her Order. Though
I'd like Rex to refuse to kill her during Order 66 and the two of them
go into hiding.

Do you believe that The Hobbit can be just as good as or better than any
of The Lord of the Rings movies?
I think it will be at least as good as The Lord of the Rings films but
I'm not sure if it will be better because the Lord of the Rings films
are going to be hard to beat. But I believe it will still be about as
good as LOTR. I'm really excited about seeing it.

What is your opinion of the cast on The Clone Wars compared to the original
cast in the Star Wars Prequels?
While I really like the cast in "The Clone Wars" I prefer the Star
Wars Prequel Cast. I love James Arnold Taylor's Obi-Wan(he does a
fantastic job on the show) but I definitely like Ewan McGregor's
performance of the amazing Jedi better. Ewan did such an amazing job at
the part and he executed his lines, especially in ROTS, perfectly. Also,
I like the movies better than any other medium of the Saga so that is
part of my reasoning as well.
I think both Matt and Hayden did/do great at the part of Anakin;
they both add a different take on the character and they both pull if
off very well. For characters like Padme and Palpatine, I think both
sets of actors did a fantastic job on their parts and each brought/bring
something different in their performances which is really nice to watch.
Plus the characters in the films are live action and that is definitely
a bonus :) So, all in all, I love both casts but I prefer the cast of
the Prequel Films.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Revenge Review.

Thoughts: While I did not have really high expectation, I did expect it to be a great episode. And it was freaking awesome! I was almost expecting this to be disappointing but it was not. It is possible that this is one of the best The Clone Wars episode or at least the best episode since "Carnage of Krell" and "Witches of the Mist" in Season 3. This episode should have been named "Revenge of the Phantom Menace" becasue Maul is coming back. Also I have been rating the last few episodes far too highly; therefore I have changed the score of last week's episode from a 10 to an 8.8. "Revenge" had everything you could possibly ask for in an episode, darker tone, best lightsaber battles, superb voice acting, great dialogue and Obi-Wan and Ventress teaming up. Also in my defense, which is a professional reviewing website, gave this episode a 9.5/10 and said that it is one of if not the best of the series. The episode did not feel rushed and left us with a cliffhanger ending. One of the things I found odd was that Savage referred to Obi-Wan as "Ben Kenobi". I am not sure why he would refer to him like that. Also after Talzin gave Maul his sanity back he was really awesome and evil. The scene with Ventress in the cantina was another nice touch. Even Yoda's scene had meaning and was not there just to have him in the episode. Obi-Wan's sarcastic lines were "You know, when I cut you in half, I should have aimed at your neck instead," and "Red's not my color". That is exactly what I would have thought that Ewan McGregor Obi-Wan would have said. The animation was fantastic in the episode. The Lightsaber battle was the best there has been in The Clone Wars and there was a good combination of Lightsaber and brief use of unarmed combat by Ventress. Also I was expecting Obi-Wan to kill Maul but the fortunately he did not and it was left open for his return in Season 5.

The Good: Best Lightsaber battle ever, Darker tone, Superb voice acting, Great dialogue, Cliffhanger ending,

The Bad:

Plot: 10/10- That was not a second that was wasted during this episode. Everything scene added to the overall story and characters.

Action: 10/10- Wow! This episode had easily the best action ever in The Clone Wars. The Lightsaber battle was epic! Even the background music added to battle.

Acting: 10/10- While not as close to the original Darth Maul as James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan. Sam Witwer really knocked it out of the ball park with his performance as Darth Maul.

Art Style: 10/10- The animation has never been better.

Overall: 10/10- Revenge is easily the best of this story arc and ended The Clone Wars with a bang.

Closing Comments: After a somewhat dissapointing last episode I am glad that "Revenge" really stepped up.

Check back sometime soon when I rank the best and worst episode of season 4.

Top 25 Best Comic Book Movies.

I have seen around 50 different comic book based movies. Although there are some famous ones I have yet to see and a few others that I have not seen in years that I am sure will make the like Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and other movies like Superman 2, which I have not seen in around 8 years might place higher on the list after I watch them again. Overall the Comic Book movies genre has some really great movies and many that just suck. I will make a more detailed list after I watch the comic book movies that are coming out later this year like The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises. Please comment and tell me what are your favorite comic book movies or if you have not seen many, please comment and tell which ones you have seen. Also below some of the movies I have posted a link to my review of that movie.

At Number 25: Daredevil
Daredevil gets way to much hate. It is still a OK movie, it has some really cool action scenes. I would not go as far to say it is a very good movie or anything but it is not that bad.

At Number 24: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Okay, I know this does not have a very good plot but it does have a lot of action and Sean Connery.

At Number 23: Batman
The original Tim Burton Batman movie, while I do not like most Tim Burton movies, this is probably my favorite his.

At Number 22: X-Men: The Last Stand
This is another movie that a lot people hate. I do not know why, it is still fun and had tons of cool action.
X-Men 3: The Last Stand

At Number 21: Spider-Man 3
A lot of people still hate this for some reason. It was not near as good as the original Spider-Man movies but it was still decent.

At Number 20: Watchmen
Extreme Warning: This movie is rated "R"
I have found this to be a litte overrated by some but the scenes with Rorschach makes the movie much better. The plot was interesting but still a little slow.

At Number 19: 300
Extreme Warning: This movie is rated "R"
300 is ridiculous and weird but the action was still cool.
At Number 18: Men in Black
Not everyone knows that Men in Black is based on a comic but it is.

At Number 17: Rocketeer
The Rockteer is one of the few good Disney live action movies and is a very fun family friendly movie that Joe Johnston directed. He also directed Captain America: The First Avenger.

At Number 16: Cowboys & Aliens
Some may be surprised that Cowboys & Aliens is based on a comic book but it is. It was a All-Star cast and Harrison Ford, what could go wrong.

At Number 15: Red
Red is a very underrated action comedy with an All-Star cast.

At Number 14: Superman 2
"Kneel before Zod!" Do I need to say any more?

At Number 13: The Incredible Hulk
The Incredible Hulk is another underrated movie that should get a little credit than it does.

At Number 12: X-Men
Everyone seems to forget that if it was not for X-Men the comic book genre would probably died and we would not have gotten the great comic book movies we have today. I probably like this more than Batman Begins since it is the first comic book movie that I watched in theaters but Batman Begins is probably a better made film.

At Number 11: Superman
I never really liked the Superman very much until I watched the movie again  few days ago and really liked it. It was much better than I remembered it. Superman is also the first big-buget comic book movies made and paved the way for future comic book movies.

At Number 10: Batman Begins
I find this to be a little overrated but still a great movie.

At Number 9: The Dark Knight
I am going to get nailed for having The Dark Knight this low on the list. I really liked the movie but I think it is a little overrated. I could understand someone liking this more than Iron Man 2 or Spider-Man 1 but why do so many people like this so much more than Iron Man 1, Spider-Man 2, Captain America, ect. It did have great performances and solid plot despite the plot holes but it is not the best comic book movie.

At Number 8: Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2 has gotten some mix opinions. Some did not like because of it is trying to set up The Avengers to much. I did not like much the first I watched but watching it again I really loved it.

At Number 7: Spider-Man
I really love this movie. It is the first comic book movie that I really liked. It got me started liking other comic book movies. After watching it again for who knows how many times I still love it. Although X-Men started the modern comic book movie trend Spider-Man perfected it.

At Number 6: X2: X-Men United
Nightcrawler attack of the Whitehouse is still one of the greatest opening scenes in film history.
Before I go on to the Top 5 I want to say that any of these movies could have made the number one spot on the list. They are so evenly matched, that it is hard to list them.

At Number 5: Spider-Man 2
Many consider this the best comic book movie even and I would not entirely disagree. Spider-Man 2 is a comic book movie that even people who do not like comic book movies should like. It had one of the great fight scenes of all time and excellent character development. Even my friend, who will not watch many comic book movies liked this. Spider-Man 2 is truly a movie that everyone should see and everyone can enjoy. It arguably the best comic book movie and if it is your favorite, I would not disagree. I have seen this movie so many times. I could re-watch it a million times and never get tired of it.

At Number 4: X-Men: First Class
After the last two failed X-Men movies the franchise needed a boost to revive it and X-Men: First Class really brought back the X-Men movies to greatness with the best X-Men movie yet. I have always been a fan of the X-Men. TV Series, comic books and just about anything else. X-Men: First Class had an all-star cast with Michael Fassbender as Eric Lensherr aka Magneto. The movie had action and great characters and story.

At Number 3: Iron Man
"I am Iron Man." Wow! This movie changed comic book movies forever. It turned a hero that not that many people have heard about and made highly successful movie. Iron Man is now a household name, almost everyone has heard of him. Robert Downy Jr. was the perfect actor to play Tony Stark. Iron Man is the first stepping stone to The Avengers movie and it sure started with a bang.

At Number 2: Thor
Thor has been really underrated. It has just about everything you could want in a movie, action, great characters, excellent acting, and much more. I was not expecting Thor to be great. I expected it to be about as good as the first Spider-Man movie but WOW! It blew me away!

At Number 1: Captain America: The First Avenger
If you have followed my blog for any length of time you know that Captain America is my favorite comic book character and Captain America: The First Avenger is my favorite comic book movie. I had ridiculously high expectations for Captain America and it far exceeded them.
 Captain America: The First Avenger
