The Terminator Review.

This is the movie that has gotten the votes, so here is the review! Also I said before that I was going to post the 11 Tag post but I have been tagged a few more times so I am going to wait and finish answering the questions.

Thoughts: We decided to re-watch The Terminator. We haven't seen in around 5 years so we didn't remember munch of the movie when we re-watched it. And it was a lot better than we remembered.

Directed by: James Cameron
Genre: Sci-Fi, Action,
Release Date: October 26, 1984 (1984-10-26)
Running Time: 108 minutes
MMPA rating: R

The Good: Awesome action scenes, Original plot, Revolutionary action and special effects, Good use of suspense,

The Bad:

Warning: This movie is rated "R" for graphic violence, profanity, and other mature content.

Plot: The following plot summery is copied from
In a post-apocalyptic 2029, artificially intelligent machines seek to exterminate what is left of the human race. Two beings from this era travel back in time to 1984 Los Angeles: One is a Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a cyborg assassin programmed to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton); the other is Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), a human resistance fighter sent to protect her. After killing two other Sarah Connors listed in the telephone directory, the Terminator tracks its target to a nightclub. Kyle saves Sarah from the Terminator's attack and the two make an escape.
Kyle explains that in the near future an artificial intelligence network called Skynet will become self-aware and initiate a nuclear holocaust of mankind. Sarah's yet-unborn son John will rally the survivors and lead a resistance movement against Skynet and its army of machines. With the Resistance on the verge of victory, Skynet has sent a Terminator back in time to kill Sarah before John can be born, as a last-ditch effort to avert the formation of the Resistance. The Terminator is an emotionless and efficient killing machine with a powerful metal endoskeleton, but with an external layer of living tissue that makes it resemble a human being. Watch the movie to see what happens next.

Plot: 8.5/10- Although the idea of computers taking over the world might not be original today but this is the movie that started it.

Action: 9.5/10- For its time the action scenes were very impressive and are still impressive today.

Acting: 8.3/10- Arnold Schwarzenegger's steel present was perfect for the Terminator and Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese was also good.

Special effects: 8.2/10- The special effects might look a little dated today but at time they were amazing. But in our option the effects still look good.

Soundtrack: 8.3/10- The soundtrack is very good and it set the feeling of the movie perfectly.

Comedy: N/A

Overall: 8.8/10- Overall The Terminator is a great action movie with good characters and an original plot.

Closing comments: Although Terminator 2 may over shadow the original Terminator movie it is still a great movie.

  3. Why r u saying sorry? I'm not yelling at you. Why would I be mad that someone deleted a comment. Don't worry. :D And BTW, this is one of my favorite sci-fi movies, normally I don't get into the whole sci-fi scene, but if it's gonna be sci-fi, it has to be this movie. This one rules, it's one of my favorites. I love this movie.
