If you have seen the movie please give it any score from 1 to 10.
We are not huge fans of the Transformers franchise but we watched some of the TV series a while back.
We have recently purchased a Blu-Ray player and rented Transformers: Dark of the Moon and watched it in 1080p yesterday.
Directed by: Michael Bay
Genre: Action, Sci-Fi
Release date: June 29, 2011
Running Time: 154 minutes
MMPA rating: PG-13
The Good: Hands down best Transformers movie, The last hour and a half of the movie was one huge and impressive fight scene, Great special effects, It was a long movie in a good way, Epic fight scenes,
The Bad: The first hour of the movie was not that great but the last hour and a half was amazing, Some plot holes,
Plot: I can't tell you the plot of the movie because there major spoilers in the first 30 minutes of Transformers: Dark of the Moon that will spoil the movie.
Plot: 7.0/10- Unlike the other Transformers movies Transformers: Dark of the Moon actually has a plot that works but it had a few plot wholes that were never filled.
Action: 9.8/10- The first 45 minutes did not have munch action but the other 100 minutes of it was pack full of excellently executed massive epic fight scenes that are some of the best we have ever seen.
Acting: 7.0/10- A few of the human characters were a little cheesey but the Transformers voice acting was very good especially Leonard Nimoy (Sentinel Prime) and Peter Cullen(Optimus Prime).
Special effects: 9.1/10- Most of the Transformers looked really good but a few scenes with humans CGI stun doubles did not look very good.
Soundtrack: 8.6/10- Although the soundtrack does not sound the most original but it is very good.
Comedy: 7.9/10- It tries to be funny in the first hour of the movie but some of the scenes felt kind of dumb and not but there only a few of thoese scenes.
Overall: 8.2/10- Overall Transformers: Dark of the Moon start out a little slow ,but not so slow that you are bored, and end with amazing action scenes and that make it well worth watching.
Closing comments: Transformers: Dark of the Moon is like watching two movies the first part was ok and it set up for the second half but the second half was filled spectacular action scenes.
Recommended for: Action movie fans, Sci-Fi fans, Transformers fans,
I recently reviewed this film and I completely understand what you mean about the first portion of the film.
ReplyDeleteI noticed how it seemed to be a film of three parts. When it kicks in it kicks in!
I quite liked this film and I feel it definitely surpassed the second film of the franchise.
