  2. Definitely a strong lineup that should rival/surpass DC's.

BUT, I am concerned with the "three movies per year" thing. I have a feeling that with DC, Marvel, and now Fox and Sony trying to create all these universes leading to multiple movies that the popularity bubble is going to burst at some point. For me personally, it probably wont, but I could easily see the general public getting tired of superhero-based films by 2018, especially if we have a string of not-so-good ones.

Either way, Marvel is at the top of their game right now and it will be interesting to see how long they can stay there (I predict that Ant-Man will be their weakest effort to date, but that most the films after it in Phase 3 will be awesome). Also, I think it's interesting to point out how LONG Phase 3 is. I thought that was interesting...and it makes me wonder if the Infinity War is the end game for Marvel.

    1. I have thought about over saturating the market as well. Hopefully it will not happen, but with Marvel's wide variety of subgenres, they are likely to be the ones to come out on top. Also, I doubt Infinity War is an actual end, unless the movies just stop making money.

  3. It's all so far away.... but all very exciting, which, actually, makes it all seem even further away!

  4. It's looking like a strong few years ahead of us, between Fox, Sony, Marvel, and (dare I say it) DC putting out so many comic-book movies (hopefully good ones). I'm excited for Infinity War (rumors and speculation is rather or not that the Guardians would help the Avengers in that one, which would be...interesting, to say the least), except for that horrifying wait between movies! It'll be Deathly Hallows all over again! Can't wait to see your next post on it, James! Thanks for the link!

    1. Indeed. So many comic book movies to see between now and 2019, it is absurd! No problem Tegan.

  5. SO MANY MOVIES.

They all seem so far away but I remember when The Avengers came out and I felt like it would take forever to get to all the sequels. Now it feels like the time has flown by and Age of Ultron doesn't feel like a "too good to be true" dream anymore. So, I'm hopefully the time will flow smoothly and that all the movies will be great. Out of all these films, besides Civil War, I'm most immediately excited about a second Guardians movie! More Chris Pratt! More Chris Pratt!
