In The Heart Of The Sea, Chris Hemsworth's upcoming adaptation of the novel of the same name is about the true story of the whaleship Essex that inspired Herman Melville's 1851 novel, Moby-Dick. After their success with Rush last year, Ron Howard and Hemsworth team up again in what looks like an interesting film. Even though the trailer might be showing a little too much, it certainly succeeds in driving up the tension and feel of desperation that one would expect from a film based on the events. Wow. Looks very epic. And very serious. And with Hemsworth and Cillian Murphy... and Ron Howard... yep, I'm sold. Although, it occurs to me that I should maybe read Moby Dick first... hehe. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if reading Moby Dick is all that necessary, but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Oh, I'm sure it isn't, but for some reason it seems like the right thing to do. :P
DeleteThis looks great; I had no idea this was coming in the work! We need more good sea tales set in this time period so I hope this one turns out great! Of course, I'm excited to see Chris Hemsworth because almost always great!!
