Avengers After Credit Scene Explained.

Warning: Spoilers for the after credit scene of The Avengers.
There was some confusion about who the guy in the after credit scene of The Avengers was. The villain in the after credits scene was Thanos, the ultimately powerful alien from the planet Titan. He is an insane conqueror, who "Courts death" as in his quote after the credits of The Avengers "To challenge them is to court death." Thanos' famous weapon, the "Infinity Gauntlet" was previously referenced in the Thor movie in Odin's trophy room among the other artifacts (picture below). Also Thanos is insane and is often referred to as the "Mad Titan." He literally loves the embodiment of death, Mistress Death. Basically he is a crazy guy is a lot of power and a brilliant military strategist. Thanos' powers include incredible strength, energy projection, and amazing durability just to name a few. He is far more powerful than Thor and is on level with a fully rested Odin. He would prove quite a challenge for The Avengers in the sequel. Although he will first appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie in 2014, which will set up The Avengers sequel in 2015 but more on that tomorrow.

Below is a video origin of Thanos.

What do you think of Thanos? Please sound of in the comments.

  3. How interesting. I was kinda wondering, "where the heck did this guy come from?" LOL Anyway, I think he'd make a interesting character to see in a future movie.
