Phantom Menace Vs Attack of the Clones Part 2.

Here is part 2 of my Phantom Menace Vs. Attack of the Clones Film Versus. Click Here for part 2 of the Versus.

Overall Action
The Phantom Menace: Other than the two action scenes listed above, the Phantom Menace included a very cool opening scene of the Jedi fighting the basically helpless droids in the Trade Federation capital ship. Later, the fight to take back the Naboo's throne room was fun, however the Gungan battle was not that great. It really could have been a well made action scene, but Jar Jar had to ruin it with unnecessary humor.

Attack of the Clones: Jango Fett's and Obi-Wan's fight on Kamino was cool and really the first time that a Jedi vs. Bounty Hunter battle was shown. Both the execution fight and the Jedi battle in the Geonosis Arena were awesome. Never before has this many Jedi have been in the same fight and then the arrival of the Clones was great.

Verdict: Attack of the Clones: Attack of the Clones take an easy victory in this round. The action is just all around superior and more impressive.

Remember the winner of these following categories means that it was less negative to the film than the other one it is compared to.

Worst Aspect
Jar Jar Binks Vs Bad Romance

Jar Jar Binks: While I dislike his character less that most, he is probably the worst thing to happen to the Star Wars universe since the Holiday Special, actually he is probably worse since people remember him. I would really like to know what George Lucas was thinking when he created Jar Jar. Basically he is the most unnecessary and pointless character in the Star Wars universe, never will understand why he was in it. Upon this recent viewing of the Phantom Menace he annoyed me ever more.

Bad Romance: With Anakin's infamous description of sand and the many other poorly written lines of dialogue, it easily the worst aspect of Attack of the Clones. Although I found it slightly more tolerable than I expected upon this recent viewing, it was still poorly written and delivered.

Verdict: Bad Romance: Jar Jar is present almost throughout the film, while the romance only ruins about 15 minutes of the film. As much I hate to say it, the romance parts were not quite as bad as Jar. (this is coming from a guy who hates an over enphasis on romance in any movie)

Worst Anakin
Jake Lloyd Vs Hayden Christensen

Jake Lloyd: While some of his performance could be attributed to his young age, Lloyd should have never been casted in the role to start with. He was annoying at some points and they probably should have casted an older actor for the role.

Hayden Christensen: Christensen was also miscast as Anakin he whined a lot and was kind of the creep with stalker like qualities. Although he did play a legitimately awkward teenager relativity well.

Verdict: Tie: While Lloyd was definitely worse, however he had less screen time than Hayden, therefore it was a tie.

 Overall
Illustration depicting various characters of the film, surrounded by a frame which reads at the top "Every saga has a beginning". In the background there is a close-up of a face with yellow eyes and red and black tattoos. Below the eyes are a bearded man with long hair, a young woman with facepaint and an intricate hat, three spaceships, a short and cylindrical robot besides a humanoid one, a boy wearing gray clothes, a young man wearing a brown robe holding a laser sword, and an alien creature with long ears. At the bottom of the image is the title "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" and the credits.Film poster. A young man is seen embracing a young woman. A man holds a lightsaber. In the foreground, there is a man wearing a suit.
Verdict: Attack of the Clones: If you asked me this question a few week ago I definitely would have said the Phantom Menace, however after this recent viewing I have concluded that Attack of the Clones was more enjoyable and the Phantom Menace is my least favorite of the six Star Wars films. The action, acting, and concept, were all better in Attack of the Clones compared to the Phantom Menace. Which is your favorite of these two movies? Please vote below. Because these two are so close in ranking for me, there is no "right" answer and I cannot disagree if you like the Phantom Menace more. While these two are my least favorite of the Star Wars Saga, as a Star Wars fan I still enjoy both very much despite their flaws.

Phatom Menace Vs Attack of the Clones Part 1.

Today on Versus I will be comparing what are generally considered the worst the two Star Wars films, the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. While I have previous said that I liked the Phantom Menace more than Attack of the Clones, after my recent viewing of the movies I am not so sure right now. Therefore, this is a comparison of the two movies in various categories. Please comment below with your favorite of these two movies.

Lightsaber Battle
Duel of Fates vs. Yoda/Dooku Battle

Duel of Fates: Easily the best and most memorable moment from the Phantom Menace, the epic Duel of Fates. The choreography is great, featuring some of the best at the time. Maul duel bladed Lightsaber is just awesome and the shocking death of Qui-Gon Jinn ends the fight perfectly.

End Lightsaber Battle: This Lightsaber battle includes both Anakin/Obi-Wan vs. Dooku as well as Yoda finally uses his Lightsaber. Count Dooku's skill is shown brilliantly during this battle and then Yoda uses his Lightsaber. It is awesome finally getting to see using it, and his fighting style is unique.

Verdict: Duel of Fates: While Yoda fight is awesome, the Duel of Fates is just more intense and impressive.

Best Character(s) Introduction
Darth Maul vs. Clones
Darth Maul: One of the most memorable Star Wars villains, mostly because of his awesome appearance and duel bladed Lightsaber. He will be have a large influence on the Star Wars universe in the up-coming season of The Clone Wars and his Lightsaber has inspirited many others with similar design.

The Clones: Although they were given little personality in the movie, their impact on the Clone Wars TV series is astonishing. They are often the best and most interesting characters in the series, featured in many of the best story arcs.

Verdict: Tie: While Maul definitely made a larger impact in his movie than the Clones had made in theirs, the Clones are the central aspect of the TV series, therefore it had to be a tie.

Best Chase/Race
Pod Race vs. Coruscant Chase
Pod Race: Another one of the Phantom Menace's most memorable scenes from the movie, the Pod Race is a high speed intense thrill ride. However, Anakin's annoying "Yippee! during the race did detract from its excitement but the visual effects at the time were very impressive.
Coruscant Chase: The chase to catch assassin Zam Wessel is thrilling, and again visually impressive.
Verdict: Coruscant Chase: The Coruscant felt more involving and even better filmed than the Pod Race.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones review.

This is the review for tar Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones requested by throughtwoblueeyes .

Just like the other Star Wars reviews this one is going to be little different than other reviews because we are super huge Star Wars fans so we can't write a critical review so if you don't like Star Wars you will hate this review.

The Star Wars prequells are not as good as the original but what could.

If you have seen the movie please give it any score from 1 to 10 (you can give a higher score than 10 because it is Star Wars).

Directed by: George Lucas
Genre: Sci-Fi, Action Adventure
Release date: May 21, 1980
Running Time: 133 minutes
MMPA rating: PG

The Good: Sixth best movie of all time, Yoda used his Lightsaber, Everything, Great cast, Special effects great, Never a dull moment, Best soundtrack of all time, Some very funny scenes, Lots of other great things, We don't care what you say Hayden Christensen was good as Anakin.

Plot: The Galactic Republic is in turmoil following the invasion of Naboo 10 years ago, and Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) has now organized a Separatist movement against the Republic. The Republic, in hopes of creating an army to assist the Jedi, has Senator Padmé Amidala return to Coruscant to cast a vote. Upon her arrival, she escapes an assassination attempt. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine assigns Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) to protect her. Obi-Wan and Anakin subdue the assassin during another assassination attempt. However, the assassin is killed by her employer, using a poisonous dart manufactured on the planet Kamino. Returning to the Jedi Temple, Obi-Wan is assigned to investigate the identity of the employer, while Anakin is assigned to escort and accompany Padmé to her home planet of Naboo. Anakin relishes the opportunity to spend time with her, and they fall in love. In investigating the remote ocean planet of Kamino, Obi-Wan discovers that it has been removed from the navigation maps of the Jedi archives. Yoda reveals that such a thing could only have been done by a Jedi, suggesting that a conspiracy is afoot. Obi-Wan then heads to Kamino, where he discovers that an army of clone troopers is being secretly produced for the Republic, using a bounty hunter named Jango Fett (Temuera Morrison) as their genetic template. Realizing that Jango is the employer, Obi-Wan tracks Jango and his son Boba (Daniel Logan) to Geonosis, a desert planet used for creating droids. Meanwhile, Anakin becomes troubled by premonitions of his mother Shmi in pain. Despite Obi-Wan's orders to remain on Naboo, Anakin persuades Padmé to accompany him to Tatooine. After finding Shmi—tortured to death by a tribe of Tusken Raiders—Anakin snaps and kills the entire tribe before burying his mother. Watch the movie to see what happens next.
