Interview With Kayla.

Today's interview is with Kayla at Jedi Filmmaker. Her answers are in blue.

What is your opinion of the Star Wars Prequels? And why do you think so many people hate them so much?
Well, there are things I like about the SW prequels and somethings I don't like. I liked the prequels because I got to see more take place in the SW universe, and it's awesome seeing Obi-Wan Kenobi as a young man. One thing I don't exactly like about them though, is I don't think RotS flows very well into ANH. It kinda jumps from one time period to another and they don't really seem to connect. I think people hate the prequels probably because the majority of people grew up with the Trilogy or the Clone Wars. And I don't think I can exactly speak for anyone other than me, but I found it hard to connect with Anakin, or sympathize with him like I could with Luke. I think identifying your-self with a films hero is a important part of story-telling, but the prequels Anakin kinda lacks personality.

Why do you think so many people hate Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker?
I wasn't aware people did hate Mark as Luke!!! I have no idea why though! I think Mark played Luke very well, and I can't imagine Luke Skywalker being acted by anyone else!!!
What is your opinion of 3D movies, amazing or pointless?
I like 3D, I think it's amazing. I think it's a awesome way to make watching a movie you've already seen something new.

What is your opinion of Star Wars EU (Expanded Universe)? Do you believe it should be considered cannon?
I don't like EU, it really just kinda ruins my favorite characters. I don't approve of random authors taking the characters and universe I adore and making them do stupid things or pairing them up with stupid pairs!!! I certainly don't think it's cannon!!! I really dislike the direction EU took the Skywalker and Solo family's after RotJ. I've read a little EU and while some books may capture the attitudes of the characters and put them in believable situations, the overall direction of EU makes me sick. Like Han wouldn't desert Leia and his family when Chewie died, in my opinion. Sure he would of been mad, but come on!!!! Why would you make him do that? ...No actually, maybe we should just say right now that Chewie should of never died!!! Why would you do that to him?? Or the way Obi-Wan has like six or more girl-friends in EU. That's just outrageous. It's like blackening his good name or something. It gives me the feeling EU is just a outlet for authors to take the Star Wars characters and make them do what they want, and then it get's called cannon. It's crazy.

Do you like or dislike Anakin in the Prequels?
Dislike more than like. He's really pretty whiny, he's a creep around Padme, and he doesn't listen to Obi~Wan. That's a big one: his attiutde about Obi~Wan. Obi~Wan was his master and it's terrible the way Anakin complains about Obi-Wan behind his back! :( I don't agree with people who say he was the best Jedi, he gets at least 5 limbs hacked off during the duration of the movies, he looses his lightsaber once, and for being a Jedi, his emotions blast way out of the roof! I definintely prefer the Clone Wars Anakin over the prequel one.

Answers to Interivew Part 2 and Survivor Season Finally!

Here is part 2 of the interview questions.

Solace Utara at Prophets of the Force question.

1: Opinion on Legolas: Legolas is awesome! He has some of the coolest scenes in The Lord of the Rings and he is an elf, which is cool.

Kalya at Jedi Filmaker Questions

1. What is one thing you'd change about Star Wars if you could?
It would actually be not a change but a lack of change during the "Han Shot First" scene in the special editions. Greedo never shot first, Han was the only one to shoot, end of story.

2. What is your favorite kind of car?
Chevy Camaro and Aston Martin.

3. What is your opinion of Black Widow?
Black Widow is great. I have always liked her even before Iron Man 2. She is the ultimate female spy and one of my favorite heroins.

4. Which Avenger do you think you'd make best friends with in real life?
Captain America since he is a nice guy but I probably will end up acting Agent Coulson.

5. Which Avenger do you think would probably not get along well around you?
Maybe Iron Man since "He doesn't play well with others" but I might still get along because I am one of few people who liked him through all of his movies.

6. Do you think you'd enjoy being around Luke and Leia Skywalker in real life?
Not really sure about that. I guess I mostly likely would.

1: Who is your favorite baseball player? Chipper Jones! He has always been my favorite. Unfortunately he is retiring after this season.

2: What are your favorite sports? Baseball! I have been a Baseball since day one but I also watch every football game too.

3: Who is your favorite Jedi? Obi-Wan and Revan.

4: Who is your favorite Doctor Who companion? Amy and Rory, but Amy is my number one favorite. She is funny and really entertaining to watch.

5: What is your least favorite movie?
The worst I have watched the full movie of is The Bobo and To Kill a Mocking Bird.

6: Which Star Wars: The Clone Wars season is your favorite? The recent season 4 was great for the most part, so I will go with that.

Avengers Review and What is to Come.

There really was not much activity on The Avengers review so if you have not read my review please Click here to read my review of The Avengers and tell me what you thought of the movie. But thank you if you were one of the Bloggers who did comment yesterday.
Also this is very important if you plan to go see The Avengers, stay after the credits! There are two after credit scenes, one after the first set of credits and another after the very end of the movie. So be sure to stay until the very end. Also tomorrow I will answer the questions that were asked by you during the interview post. At some point I will post some spoiler filled posts about The Avengers but I do not know how many of you have seen the movie.

Answers to Interview Questions Part 1.

I will be posting the answers in two different parts. Also tomorrow is my One Year Blogoversary! So be sure to check back here for that.

1. Have you ever thought of traveling? Where would you want to visit---famous museums, nature, ect?
Maybe a African Safari and Hunting trip would cool. Also a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame would be great.

2. What are your overall thoughts and opinions on SW's expanded universe?
I really did not have much of an opinion until I played Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. After that I was fully in favor of the EU. I love the books Heir to the Empire and Darth Plagueis. If it is considerd the offical cannon I am all for it.

3. Are you up for more Indiana Jones movies or not?
Since I know that there is already going to be another Indy movie, I really do not have choice. But if it is done right it could be a good idea.

4. What is one of the big things you like about Steve Rogers/Captain America, the man, as in a character trait and why?
That is a very hard question. He embodies what the ultimate America should be yet he is still flawed enough to be relate able. Captain America is not over powered and will do what is necessary during times of war unlike heroes like Batman or Superman, who refuse to kill.

5. Are you planning on seeing The Avengers on opening night?
Unfortunately not, hopefully I will see it the following Monday.

6. Who are your favorite blogs to visit?
There are a lot of blogs I visit often but here are a few of the ones I visit the most often since they post the most often but I also visit just about every blog that I follow. So these are just a few of the ones I visit.

Through Two Blue Eyes
Jedi Filmaker
Just me... (my real life best friend's blog)
Pandas, Lightsabers and Cameras, oh my!!
 Prophets of the Force
Pens, Thespians, and Words
 The Window on the South
Thoughts of a Dude and a Dudess
Password to Middle Earth

7. What random story would you be interested in seeing in film form?
I could write an entire post about that and I probably will. But here are just a few.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Skyrim: This could be the next Lord of the Rings if done right.
Halo: Halo would make the perfect Sci-Fi War movie.
Just to name a few.

Questions from Edessa at HoloNet Entertainment Daily

1. If you could remake any film, what would it be and why? Since I really would want a remake to ruin a franchise but I think a Back to the Future would work since we are coming up on the year 2015. It would be the perfect timing, although trying to replace Doc Brown and Marty would be near impossible.

2. What do you think about Lucas converting "Star Wars" into 3D?
I do not think it is a bad idea but I did not see Episode 1 in 3D. I will probably go see The Empire Strikes Back in 3D since it is the best movie ever.

3. If you could visit any film set, what would it be and why?
If I could visit a a film set in the past it would be the set of the original 1977 Star Wars. If I had to choose one that is currently filming it would be The Hobbit.

4. Who is your favorite film director?
Geogre Lucas, Peter Jackson and Steve Spielberg. They have made many of my favorite movies.

If there are more questions please ask and I will answer them in a future post.

Interview With Alyianna at Pass Word to Middle Earth.

To continue with the Lord of the Rings week today's interview is with Alyianna at Password to Middle Earth, Alyianna's Reviews, Scribbles of a Catholic Teen and Thoughts of a Dude and a Dudess. I highly recommend checking out Password to Middle Earth for the latest news about The Lord of the Rings and all things cornering Middle Earth. Also for book, music and movie reviews check out her Alyianna's Reviews blog.

My questions are in black and her answers are in blue.

What is your Blog Password to Middle Earth about?
On Password to Middle Earth, I mostly post news (such as updates on The Hobbit movie) from theonering.net (best LOTR website ever). When I have more time, I also post Behind-the-scenes from LOTR and other cool stuff. :)

What is the most questionable change in The Lord of the Rings books compared to the movies?
Oh, I could go on forever on this subject! Most questionable would be the part where Frodo tells Sam to go home. Frodo would never do anything like that, even with the Ring. Gollum could never get between him and Sam. I also get irrated by the changes to Elrond's, Denethor's, and Faramir's character.

How did you become a Lord of the Rings fan?
Love this story (shows the foolishness of a Took...er, Baggins)! When I was about eight, one of my good friends told me about LOTR and that she loved it. I decided I wanted to read the books, but my dad said to read The Hobbit first. I reluctantly agreed...but I didn't the cover looked very interesting (Smaug lying on a pile of gold and jewels). So I left it on my bookshelf for months. Finally, I did read it, and I LOVED it. After that came came The Lord of the Rings, which I loved (and still do) even more than The Hobbit. I can still remember my dad saying good night to me and I asked him, "Daddy, what happens in The Lord of the Rings? Will I hear more about Bilbo?"

Is a change made from The Lord of the Rings books to the movies that you liked better in the movie?
Hmmm...I like the funny parts with Gimli and (especially) Pippin and Merry. One of my favourites is the scene where Pippin and Merry search for food in the flooded Isengard. "He doesn't look too happy up there, does he, Merry?" "No, he doesn't, Pippin." "Still, the view must be very good up there." "Oh, yes. It's a quality establishment."

Do you agree with the direction Peter Jackson is going with The Hobbit?
I'm not so sure about that. When I heard that Turiel (I believe that was her name) was going to be an elvish warrior AND head of the elven guard, I wasn't too happy. And P.J. better have Smaug and the trolls talk...or else. :P

Check back here tomorrow for more Lord of the Rings posts.

Interview With JT/King Valun at JT's Tales.

On today's interview, I interview JT/King Valun at JT's Tales  and at The Window on the South . His  JT's Tales  is were he posts the stories he writes and his The Window on the South  is were he posts some general random thoughts. He is also a fan of The Lord of the Rings books and movies. I recommend that you check out his blogs. especially if you like literature.

1)What is the most questionable change in The Lord of the Rings books compared to the movies?
There are several questionable changes in both The Two Towers and The Return of the King, as compared to almost none in 'the Fellowship' . Of the changes, I have to say that Faramir's attitude adjustment was by far the most frustrating. In the book, Faramir is able to defeat the temptation to bring The Ring to Denethor (and risk capital punishment for letting Frodo and Sam go) so fast you hardly notice (albeit with some help from Sam that was less obvious than the film version). In the film, well, that's not what happens.

2)What is the most accurate movie to book adaptation and why?
The most accurate film of the LOTR is The Fellowship of the Ring. The action leading up to the arrival at Bree is greatly compressed and slightly altered, but on the whole FOTR is best because it contains little to no invented dialogue or action between Merry and Pippin's surprise arrival and Borimir's last words.

3)What is the least accurate movie to book adaptation and why? The least accurate (theatrical release) film of the set is actually The Return of the King. Yes, I know it won 11 Oscars including best picture, but here we're focusing on 'Does it follow the book'. ROTK contains the worst of the 'artistic license' Listing all of it here would take too many words. Of the Also, not filming the scouring of the Shire emphasizes Frodo's personal sacrifice ("The Shire has been saved, but not for me, Sam"), but it also takes a lot away from the larger depth of the book and it's satisfyingly slow close and abrupt end, which emphasize the intended idea (I do not say actual belief) that Middle-Earth exists and LOTR is just an 'authorized history'

4) What book series do you most want adapted to a movie and why do you think would make a good movie?
The book series I would probably most enjoy as films after LOTR is Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy. These books have the most abrupt plot twists I've ever read. I can't explain it any more in case there's someone out there who decides to read them. They should stick to the original 3 though; the other 4 actually dilute the story a bit.

 5) What is the purpose of JT's Tales?
The original purpose of JT's Tales was to enable friends who now live out of town to have access to a story I was writing for them (with the bonus of being able to give me their reactions in real time; I mean(t) to use people's comments to identify what elements of my writing needs work, in order to write more interesting and readable stories. Writing is my easiest hobby, and I was writing, but didn't really want to think about getting published. So I decided that the easiest way to spread my stories was to start a blog. It contains a very fictional historical fiction titled Reunions & Destinies, a somewhat satirical short story titled "The Elevator to Mars", and the current feature, which has been running for the past nine months, The Price of a Throne: A Tale of Four Kings, which could use a bit of explaining. 'Price' is a story in which four kings face the consequences of kingship. Each deals with some great loss, and in the end all become better men for their struggles. There are actually six kings in the story: three kings of the title are obvious; it is up to the reader's discretion to decide which of the other three is the fourth of the title. So long as I have chapters finished, I post one every Friday, but it just so happens that I just ran out of chapters last week...The story may be incomprehensible at first, in part because I've reached the 40th chapter, so the prominent characters have their own labels on the sidebar. In short, if you don't mind critiquing someone's writing, please follow and read JT's Tales. Who know's, you just might like the story! :D.

 6) What was the most disappointing book to movie adaptation?
The most disappointing book-to-movie transition I've seen is Prince Caspian. For those who don't know or remember, the old Narnians were being heavily persecuted, so their numbers were already absurdly low for the purpose fighting any battles. But instead of accepting that and having it explained to Caspian like it originally was, the filmmakers caught battle fever and seem to think "No story's good without over-the-top battles that result in later stupidly long odds in which the good guys prevail anyway. The whole Castle Raid sequence was, in addition, on Caspian's part, laughably cliche. There's also the destruction of the bridge at the Ford of Beruna, which, in bringing in a 'spirit' that rivals an mental image of Poseidon or Ulmo, degrades Aslan's powers to the level of Elrond's, instead of respecting the Jesus/Aslan comparison which is obvious to anyone who has read the books, and having AslanAslan is the supreme being being of Narnia (barring the Emperor over the Sea, who never appears directly) and needs no help.

 7) Do I think there's a chance of The Hobbit being a disappointment?
No. On The Hobbit, I prefer to adopt the stance that the main reason people are having a problem with the way Gandalf and Galadriel seem to be interacting is that, by nature of being an angelic being, Gandalf is far more powerful than Galadriel, and so considering him to need any help from anyone else is the complete opposite of what any readers ought to accept from anybody who tries to interpret Tolkien's world. Yes, the wizards can be killed by treachery and they do eat and sleep like mortals, but when it really matters, nobody can stop the wizards (and Sauron) from doing what they need/want to do. Except, for some reason, Balrogs, and the act of throwing a ring into a volcano)
The previous 'no' was just my rabid pro-Tolkien bias talking. In reality, there's an unbearably high chance that it may very well be a disappointment. Why? BECAUSE OF THE BIKER GANG KNOWN AS THORIN & CO.! The book is full of sight gags brought on by the dwarfs' unique and contrasting apparel and their propensity for chanting 'At your service' while bowing. You can tell just by how they look that they won't be doing any of that. Memo to Mr. Jackson: The Hobbit doesn't need any more darkness! It's a comedy with a dark quest thrown in! LOTR fans! Read The Hobbit, then swamp the theaters on 12/14! Hopefully, you will not be disappointed!

Thanks to James for reposting such long-winded answers....

Interview with Aalya Rain at Fangirl & Farmgirl.

On today's interview, I interview Aalya Rain at Fangirl & Farmgirl . She has a very cool blog Star Wars blog, you need to check it out.

What is your opinion of The Force Unleashed on how the Rebellion was formed?                 The Force Unleashed shaped the Rebellion but it didn’t actually start with that. It started in ROTS with the Delegation of 2000. Once the Empire became a galaxy spread plague the some of the delegates withdrew their signatures because in fear of the Empire. But only a brave few actually stayed as a committee. But, with The Force Unleashed the Rebellion actually did start without that fear placed before them. Galen Marek, Vadar’s secret apprentice, became I would say one of the key players. Even with the Vadar’s orders to destroy the committee he actually got them formed as a whole again. In a secret meeting on Coreilla the key players signed the Coreillan Treaty was signed. But, at the demise of Galen’s sacrifice to save his friends the Marek family crest or the Alliance Starbird was the official symbol of the Rebellion. So without Galen there probably wouldn’t be any Rebellion against the Empire after the fall of the Delegation of 2000.

What is your opinion of the Star Wars Prequels? And why do you think so many people hate them so much?                My opinion of the Star Wars Prequels is very good. They are what shaped the films before them as they are today. If they weren’t made we wouldn’t know as to who Luke & Leia’s mother was, the background of Anakin, and how Obi-Wan became who he was. I think people hate them so much because they don’t have a full understand of what actually happened and they like to think it the way they want to. I think people just don’t like the romantic tension between Padme’ and Anakin.

What is your opinion of the Star Wars Prequels? Love’em or Hate them?
Like I said before my opinion of the Star Wars Prequels is very good. They are what shaped the films before them as they are today. If they weren’t made we wouldn’t know as to who Luke & Leia’s mother was, the background of Anakin, and how Obi-Wan became who he was. The only problem I have is what happened in ROTS. It went so fast in the storyline and I think that’s why they have The Clone Wars on TV now so we get a better understanding as to what happened before. I find that this helps. Also, I can’t watch the third one anymore because it makes me cry! J

What is your opinion of Jar Jar Binks? Love’em or Hate him?
Honestly, I love Jar Jar a lot. Sure he may be clumsy but he’s a very gifted Gungan. He tries his best to help out whenever he can and that makes him so loveable to me. I also read an article in Star Wars Insider about why people should love Jar Jar and it makes so much sense if you read it.

We Need to Talk About Jar Jar was an article detailing ten good things about Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks. The article was written by Daniel Wallace which appeared in Star Wars Insider 131.”

Interview With Solace Utara at Prophets of the Force

Today's interview is with Solace Utara at Prophets of the Force . She has a really cool blog about Star Wars I recommend you check it out if you like Star Wars.

What do you believe Ahsoka’s fate should be at the end of The Clone Wars series?

I belive that Ahsoka would survive at the end of The Clone Wars series and order 66. I have read websites that explains the Fate of Ahsoka Tano (Most notably http://scifi.about.com/od/starwarstelevision/a/CLON_ahsokas-fate.htm). There is evidence against every option except the one that says Ahsoka survives order 66. As it explains, Ahsoka could go on a solo undercover mission in 19 BBY, when ROTS occured. Like Jedi Master Ry-Gaul, she would most likely survive. Also, seeing her killed would make Star Wars darker. It would be tragic for Ahsoka fans... and me. Her fate, though, is decided by the Clone Wars team... and the will of the Force. It will be the way it is meant to be.

Do you consider Darth Maul’s return cannon?
If George Lucas and the Clone Wars teams says so, then yes. I am curious for more of an explanation on how he survived, but then if the official word says it is, then it is. I think he fueled himsielf with the dark side to keep him alive the way Vader did on the lava bank, and maybe someone helped him out without knowing who he is or anything.

What is your opinion of Lux Bonteri and Ahsoka’s relationship?
Lux is an okay kind of guy, but I'm not sure if he's right for Ahsoka. He did foolish stuff out of revenge and everything, but he's not a Jedi. I believe alot of people would have done the same. I hope Ahsoka won't do anything foolish for him though. Their romantic relationship is better than Rex and Ahsoka (He's a clone and I don't think he's supposed to be with her), Anakin and Ahsoka (He already have a wife, come on!), and Barriss and Ahsoka (they're both girls, for crying out loud!). So I'll just wait and see how everything turns out.

What is your opinion of the cast on The Clone Wars compared to the original cast in the Star Wars Prequels?
I remembered the first time I watched the prequels. Unlike most other people, I was impressed with it. Perhaphs it was because I was so young and didn't really understand much, or I really did enjoy it. Either way, I still love the Star Wars Prequels now. I also remembered the first time I watched Star Wars the Clone Wars. I liked it too, but I was even younger when I first watched it. I still enjoy it now. I like them both equally, but I don't think I can compare them like that since the Clone Wars is not really a movie, except you count the cartoon one. In conclusion, I think both are awesome, and I'm glad there is something that explores the Clone Wars- which in my opinion was one of the most important parts in Star Wars history.

Interview with Shena Tokala at Pens, Thespians, and Words.

Today's interview is with Shelna Toka at Pens, Thespians, and Words. She has a really cool blog mostly about Star Wars and some other things.

What do you think Ahsoka’s fate should be at the end of The Clone Wars
series?
Well, I have a feeling she is going to die. It seems to be the most
logical answer to her fate since she won't be knighted anytime soon and
the war is also near to being over and she's too loyal to the Jedi Order
to leave and I'd much rather her die during the Clone Wars than during
Order 66 and have to see the Clones or Anakin killing her Order. Though
I'd like Rex to refuse to kill her during Order 66 and the two of them
go into hiding.

Do you believe that The Hobbit can be just as good as or better than any
of The Lord of the Rings movies?
I think it will be at least as good as The Lord of the Rings films but
I'm not sure if it will be better because the Lord of the Rings films
are going to be hard to beat. But I believe it will still be about as
good as LOTR. I'm really excited about seeing it.

What is your opinion of the cast on The Clone Wars compared to the original
cast in the Star Wars Prequels?
While I really like the cast in "The Clone Wars" I prefer the Star
Wars Prequel Cast. I love James Arnold Taylor's Obi-Wan(he does a
fantastic job on the show) but I definitely like Ewan McGregor's
performance of the amazing Jedi better. Ewan did such an amazing job at
the part and he executed his lines, especially in ROTS, perfectly. Also,
I like the movies better than any other medium of the Saga so that is
part of my reasoning as well.
I think both Matt and Hayden did/do great at the part of Anakin;
they both add a different take on the character and they both pull if
off very well. For characters like Padme and Palpatine, I think both
sets of actors did a fantastic job on their parts and each brought/bring
something different in their performances which is really nice to watch.
Plus the characters in the films are live action and that is definitely
a bonus :) So, all in all, I love both casts but I prefer the cast of
the Prequel Films.

Interview with Jamie at Through Two Blue Eyes

This is an interview with Jamie at Through Two Blue Eyes. It is a great blog that I recommend you check it out. She also has two other blogs Jamie's Other  and Pictures of Princess. My questions are in Red and her answers are in black. If you want to be part of an interview next please send e-mail to johnstarslayer@gmail.com .

Do you think there is a chance of The Avengers being a major disappointment?
Wow---horrifying thought, honestly. There’s always that tiny possibility, but really, if they don’t mess the characters up, than there shouldn’t be room for any major disappointment. From the looks of the latest trailer, it should be a real smash! I have really high hopes for this film and I hope it lives up them all!

What is your opinion of the Star Wars Prequels? And why do you think so many people hate them so much?
My opinion of the prequels is that they’re not as good as the Originals but they have good value. Revenge of the Sith was really good and Attack of the Clones and The Phantom Menace was also good. Even great. But not as ‘amazing’ as the Originals. The reason I think people dislike them so much is because they were very different from the Originals. One thing I know is different and disappointing is how under-developed the characters are, compared to Han Solo or Luke Skywalker. This aspect of the films especially could have been handled differently.

Why do you think so many people hate Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker?

I have no idea! I honestly cannot even comprehend why people wouldn’t like Mark Hamill’s acting. I think he did an amazing job portraying Luke Skywalker. He’s one of my favorite actors, as well. So… yeah, I’ve got no clue. All I can say is that it’s rather… sick.

Do you think Pixar is overrated? And if so why do you think almost everyone likes the movies so much?
I think they’re overrated in different areas, definitely. Especially in their fan base. I have a lot of friends who are Pixar freaks and the reasons I’ve heard them give is because they think Pixar is a ‘master storyteller’. I will grant Pixar puts out creative and very well-told stories, but I think fans go a little far when they say how much better Pixar is over Disney or Dreamworks, because it’s not true. Disney and Dreamworks have done some master storytelling of their own---look at such films as ‘Bolt’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ by Disney, and ‘Prince of Egypt’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ by Dreamworks. Granted, there are some good Pixar films, like the Toy Story Trilogy and Monsters Inc. But… yes, they’re overrated, none the less.

What is your opinion of Star Wars EU (Expanded Universe)? Do you believe it should be considered cannon?
I’ve not read much EU. Some of it sounds really good (the one book I read was VERY good). But most has also made the characters be uncharacteristic to how they were in the films, especially from the Originals. A lot of the things I’ve heard about Han and Leia’s children is really sad and almost sick—Han and Leia would be much better parents to their children than what I’ve read or seen. Like having Leia so work-minded instead of having her spend time with her kids, which is something she would totally do. Other changes like having the Emperor come back in a different body and Chewbacca being killed are rather disturbing to say the least. I especially despise the bringing back characters who were thought dead---that’s very undermining to the actual work the protagonists do and is spirit-crushing to me. So… I’m not wild about a lot of the EU. There is enough good in it that I think it could be given a chance, though. I, personally, hold the movies as actual cannon. Outside of the six movies, not so much---that’s how I roll right now.
