Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still crushing the box office! And I am going to watch that incredible film again next week! So, instead of trying to think of spoiler topics after re-watching, my plan is to walk into the theater with various points of discussion on my mind, which brings me to your part in this. Please let me know what you want me to discuss about film, whether it is a plot point, a criticism, or fan theory. Whatever it is, please leave a comment with any number of discussion topics and I will try to write about it! Anakin's lightsaber? Didn't really care. Han Solo dying? Far too obvious early on. He was basically Ben Kenobi in the movie. Kylo Ren? Fine until he took his helmet off and became whiny emo brat. makes sense that someone with the Force could go bad. Poe sidelined? An error: Ossac Issac was brilliant and deserves more time. Rey's origins? Presumably she's a Skywalker? That piece of junk? Great reveal. R2D2? Presumably he'd been programmed to reveal his map once the other was in proximity?

ReplyDeleteHaha, but yeah, those sound good! Looking forward to this post. My current favorite thing to speculate wildly on is Rey's origin/parentage. Oh, and things about Snoke! Like, is he actually giant, or is he normal sized, OR, is he perhaps unusually tiny? :D And just general things about Kylo's character and motivations in general because good grief there's some deep stuff going on there.
Oh, this is interesting -- I heard that originally Poe was supposed to actually die in the crash, which, if true, totally explains the ambiguity of how he got back to the base, and maybe even his being sidelined!
I think what I wrote was misleading. I plan to discuss everything on the list, but I wanted to know if there was anything else to discuss. But thanks for those theories! Those are a great topics! Thanks Sarah!
