Deadpool Trailer 2 Review

Deadpool's second trailer is out! And like before, there are two trailers, the clean Green Band trailer (above), and the R rated Red Band trailer, which you can find online if you want to see it. The first trailer was funnier, and again, the Green Band trailer was funnier too or at least for me, except for the violence, which is the best part about the Red Band. And there is a lack of breaking the Fourth-Wall, which is one of the key aspects of Deadpool. However, the jokes are relatively funny and the action looks a ton of fun. 

But here’s an idea. If Fox was serious about making money, why not make two versions of Deadpool. A PG-13 "Green Band" version and the original R rated one. As shown in the trailer, the movie can be edited and cut to be cleaner. The only issue would be the violence since that is harder to cut than language, but making two versions would be an interesting idea. Plus, cleaner comedy is usually smarter comedy since it takes more writing skill to make it funny, which is my preference. But as a business strategy, why not try? Of course, that is highly unlikely, but it is an idea to throw around. What do you think? Please comment below and let me know! Also, this poster below is hysterical!

Deadpool Trailer Review

Deadpool is finally here people! And it is utterly hilarious! Fox appears to delivering everything that we wanted with this Deadpool movie. It is meta, hysterical in parts, and captures the character perfectly. The trailer even explains Deadpool's origin clearly for those new to the character. He basically has Wolverine's heal factor, uses swords and guns, and he knows that he is a comic book character (or whatever medium he is in). Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool again, and as the other promos show, the movie acknowledges how Fox completely screwed up the character in X-Men: Origins - Wolverine. Of course, the above trailer is the "green-band" trailer censored to release in theaters and TV, so if you are 18+ and want to watch the red-band (R rated) trailer, you will find it on YouTube. My main issue with the film is that it looks too vulgar, even for a Deadpool movie, but I plan to write about why we need two cuts of the film in theaters in a later post. New Deadpool Images

New images for Deadpool continue to be released! As far as being faithful to the comics, this Deadpool movie is nailing it! However, in my honest opinion, the film is going a little too vulgar. I watched a bootleg version of the Comic-Con trailer, and while it was funny and full of meta-humor, it seemed unnecessarily vulgar, even for Deadpool. Of course, that is just me. Otherwise, Ryan Reynolds is fantastic, and the costume is perfect. What do you think? Deadpool Set Photo

Yes! New photos from the Deadpool set give us our first look of what Ryan Reynolds is going to look like in the Deadpool costume, and it is about as perfect as you could ever want. Sure, it looks like rubbery on set, but everything looks better in the actual film. Compared to other comic book adaptations, this might be the most visually accurate costume since Rorschach in Watchmen (or even better). Deadpool Movie is Official for 2016

After the awesome Deadpool test footage was leaked a couple of months ago, an official Deadpool film is coming 2016! YES! It is finally happening! The movie has escape development limbo, and it is set to release on February 12, 2016. Ryan Reynolds is set to return to play the the Merc with a Mouth, and now they can finally right the wrongs of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Another strange development is that Kevin Feige is set to produce the film. However, Feige is the head of Disney/Marvel, while Deadpool is from the competing Fox, who owns X-Men and Fantastic Four. Deadpool Test Footage Leaked

Test footage from the Deadpool film starring Ryan Reynolds has been leaked to the internet! And I have posted the video above. Since this is leaked footage, be sure to watch it quick before it is gone and please let me know if the video does not work for some reason. For those not in the know, Deadpool is a Marvel character, who is known for constantly breaking the fourth wall. Often times, Deadpool talks to the reader/viewer, he is fully aware that he is a comic book character, and he even addresses the writers in hilarious ways. Essentially, he is positively hilarious! And Deadpool is a fan favorite, and one of my personal favorites. Ryan Reynolds played Deadpool, aka Wade Wilson, in X-Men: Origins: Wolverine, where the character was horribly mistreated and ruined. However, Reynolds was one of the few highlights of said film. Unfortunately, the Deadpool film, which is written by the writers of Zombieland, is still in development limbo, so we may never see it. At least we have this great proof of concept that a Deadpool movie would actually work, plus the Deadpool video game. What do you think of the footage? Please comment below and let me know.
