Hobbit 3 Delayed!?

The Hobbit: There and Back Again, the third entry in the Hobbit trilogy, has been delayed! It was originally going to be released on July 14, 2014, but was delayed to December 17, 2014, to keep it from competing with X-Men: Days of Future Past. Although I am disappointed that we will have to wait almost six more months to see the conclusion of the trilogy, it sounds like a smart decision because the Middle Earth is meant to be watched in December. On a side not, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey reach a billion dollars! After a decent start, it appeared that The Hobbit would under perform, but I am glad that it made almost as much money as The Return of the King, and more than the other two Lord of the Rings films. Also tomorrow I will post Part 5 of my Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: Book Vs. Movie, where I discuss the alterations to Faramir's character. What do you think of this news? Please comment below.

  1. While it's sad that the wait has been made longer for the film, I agree, those films are meant to be viewed in December. I can't wait to see it either way :D
That's awesome that its made that much money! :D It deserves it :D

  2. December releases match LOTRs so I wasn't surprised but still makes the wait so much longer.

The Hobbit was a lot of fun and more asscesible than Fellowship for me at least.

  3. @Shena Tokala: December couldn't come soon enough! And I hope that Hobbit 2 will do even better at the box office. :)

@Daniel: Glad you liked it. While I didn't love it quite as much as the Fellowship, it was still one of my favorite films.
