Y...Ohhhh! :D I get it now. Princess Tutu RULES! ^w^
Yup! I watched it three times when I was younger. xD
Yeah...I just took it the wrong way. ^^' Sorry!
No problem! I commenting on anime related stuff!!
Yeah! I am really excited to work on it! I found a wig that I think will work and I am SOO EXCITED!

No problem! I'm just glad you watched it! It needs more fans! (Since it wasn't very popular for some reason... :/ )

~MistyMisty Kasumi*https://www.blogger.com/profile/08989236152862579555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-25334237137161918332014-03-05T17:38:58.004-05:002014-03-05T17:38:58.004-05:00Thanks for the input about the mini-reviews Jamie!...Thanks for the input about the mini-reviews Jamie!

Accel World is a lot of fun! And yes, anime handles sci-fi better than most, and if you want to watch a truly great sci-fi anime, I would recommend Steins Gate. I am not sure what you would think of the style, but it is the best time-travel story I have seen!

-JamesJames the Reviewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00165238905288033483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-51877928253541273532014-03-05T17:37:19.862-05:002014-03-05T17:37:19.862-05:00Actually, I said I would give the first half an 8....Actually, I said I would give the first half an 8.0/10 and since I would rate the second half an 8.6/10. the score averaged out to a 8.3/10 on my scale. :) Also, considering my overall rating system slightly since I told you that, an 8.3 is actually a very high score and it basically means "Excellent" and highly recommendable. :)
I can definitely see a kid still enjoying the first half a lot since it did remind me a lot of American cartoons that I watched a kid in the first half, but after that, it turned into a great series.
About my mention of Black Lagoon, that was intended to be a little humorous, but as usual with my jokes, they don't really, and I really wanted to mention Black Lagoon since I am loving the show right now. I have changed my comment about that since it did not come out as I intended it. Thanks for the feedback! :)
I hope your cosplay works out because that would be a cool one! :D

Thanks again for recommending the series to me!

-JamesJames the Reviewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00165238905288033483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-74632964740468215372014-03-05T17:32:15.222-05:002014-03-05T17:32:15.222-05:00It definitely gets better from those episodes onwa...It definitely gets better from those episodes onward. :) Those are my favorite characters of the series as well. The ballet element was neither a positive or negative for me since I have no interest in it, except for the music, which can be amazing, but the series used effectively so that it apart of the story, not a gimmick. But that is cool that you were able to connect with the series because of your background with it. :) I did some a couple of shorts about the history of the art during the Olympics and it was interesting to see. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

-JamesJames the Reviewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00165238905288033483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-72146996916437629892014-03-05T17:29:07.614-05:002014-03-05T17:29:07.614-05:00Indeed it is a great deconstruction of the genre, ...Indeed it is a great deconstruction of the genre, not many have done it better. Exactly, a girly title does not necessarily mean a girly show.

My liking of Rue is also biased because I always have a thing for "bad girls" and redeemable villains. Don't get me wrong, Ahiru was also a great character, and I liked her a lot though.

Thanks!

-JamesJames the Reviewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00165238905288033483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-64060484169132796212014-03-05T15:58:13.622-05:002014-03-05T15:58:13.622-05:00Mini reviews are a fun idea!

Anime seems to have a better handle on sci-fi than most other film creators.

~JamieJamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17203554335912426375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-52110137944873389362014-03-05T10:36:34.040-05:002014-03-05T10:36:34.040-05:00FINALLY!!! :D You reviewed it! ^.^ But you still g...FINALLY!!! :D You reviewed it! ^.^ But you still gave it the same rating as you told me you gave the first half... O.O
Anyway, I have to agree with you on mostly everything that you said; how the first half was kinda weird, it progressed to Rue being Kraehe and so on. (But I was a little kid when I first watched it, so the first half of the first season never really bothered me.)
But overall I'm glad you liked the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
(One thing though: real men don't need to watch a "cool" anime after this one. They just need to watch it and say it was cool. :D Then they can go and watch ANOTHER SHOUJO ANIME!!! ^.^ )
And now i'm excited about cosplaying as Princess Tutu!! I just need to get someone else to cosplay as Kraehe, Muteo/Mytho, and Fakir. :D

~MistyMisty Kasumi*https://www.blogger.com/profile/08989236152862579555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-75920922131552163742014-03-05T10:21:29.341-05:002014-03-05T10:21:29.341-05:00Glad you started, and enjoyed, Princess Tutu :). I...Glad you started, and enjoyed, Princess Tutu :). I'm currently 11 episodes in and I'm liking it a lot so far- it's strange, but good- as you said, the first few episodes are a little hard to get through, but once you get past them, the series gets a lot more interesting. I agree, I like the story and how it's got a different type of story-telling, as well as the characters(Fakir, Rue, and Duck are my favorite so far). I also enjoy the ballet(and pointe/toe, since a lot of characters are wearing that kind of shoe while dancing) aspect of the series, especially since I did it for around seven years when I was younger; I also liked that the guys did dance, because it's for anyone who is interested and not just for girls(and it's very hard to learn, especially once you get older). Looking forward to seeing how the story progresses! :) Shena Tokalahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17657993823328581910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-69011842638825798752014-03-05T09:45:44.765-05:002014-03-05T09:45:44.765-05:00Princess Tutu! Now that's how you deconstruct ...Princess Tutu! Now that's how you deconstruct a genre. This anime showed me that even titles with girly themes could be 'manly' in its own ways, just as Arkada said. But in terms of entertainment value, it does have its problems. As you said, there are episodes that seem to lack something, when compared to other episodes.

As for Rue, I also like her as a character. Her design is very well-done. She is very feminine yet very sinister. And of course, that's just the icing of the cake. What really makes Rue interesting is her story.

But really, Ahiru is still my favorite character in the series. She is so naive, and she has a heart. But I am biased to that kind of character, so maybe that explains why I like her best.Arvin Saintshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11875296044665788756noreply@blogger.com
