In addition to being like GL and FLCL, there are other Gainax references as well, including a few from Evangelion, albeit minor references, but they are fun to spot for Gainax fans.

You are right, in a way it is actually is the "savior of anime," because almost everyone is talking about it, and the fan following is rather large.

That's good. Not taking the series seriously is definitely the best way to enjoy it. Also, whether it is the comedy, the action, or the absurd ridiculousness, Kill la Kill should provide quite a lot of entertainment.

That's good that you can get the episodes that way. Even though I do not know the exact extent of the problem from what you have told me, you still might be able to watch the series on websites that use video buffering opposed to streaming. Will YouTube videos work? If so, KissAnime uses a YouTube type video player that you can let load before you start watching. It might take a while, but unlike AnimeFreak, which I believe uses a slow streaming type video player, KissAnime might actually work. Of course, it still probably will not work, but since I study computers and IT in college, I thought about that. Anyway, I hope you will be able to watch it!

-JamesJames the Reviewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00165238905288033483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1385233731099220276.post-16209991022216062452014-04-25T08:47:15.220-04:002014-04-25T08:47:15.220-04:00Interesting! Kill la Kill does have some traces of GL and FLCL, and I noticed it at a time that I wasn't aware yet that the creators were the same. I also consider it as a savior of anime, because it came out in the middle of a dry spell (LOL, I can't think of a better word, but to get the idea across: Recent anime seasons were really dull, and there really is no title that could gain significant buzz. We had Madoka Magica last 2011, SAO last 2012, and AOT last 2013, and it's a good thing that Kill la Kill joined the noise, but not as much as the others.) In a sense, yeah, it saves anime.

I think this is a series that doesn't take itself seriously, so I don't really consider its ridiculousness and whatnots as a negative trait (but for others, it is). As far as I've seen, it is actually really really entertaining, and your 9.5 entertainment value gives me much to look forward to.

By the way, since I can't stream these days because of the internet problem, a friend gave me a copy of Kill la Kill eps 1-11. Hopefully I could get the rest of the eps so I could at least review something in the blog even though i don't have a reliable internet connection these days.Arvin Saintshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11875296044665788756noreply@blogger.com
